Zac got gutted, not reworked

I've played so many games of Zac and always thought he was super fun to play. I was really worried when i saw that he was going to get a partial rework, and as it turns out my worries were justified. Even after his hotfix buffs he's still literally the worst champion in the game. He has a 2% playrate and 40% winrate. The meta is very early game focused right now and it has been for months, Zac already was pretty bad for this meta. While you were working to clear camps and get levels into your e so you actually could gank people, there's a jungler like Lee or Elise not even bothering to clear their jg past level 3, and actually getting ahead in levels because of how little exp neutral camps give.

This is where the rework comes in, and makes everything worse. Zac's early clear time is hit hard. This makes you take more damage, more weak to invades, and more time until you can actually gank people. His ult, is just a straight nerfed version with nice paint on it. Old zac was rewarded with a properly placed e by knocking up the hit members, and then immediately after ulting to cause a mass disruption, while using the bonus movespeed and extra bounces to apply more damage to squishies, and position yourself better for when the ult runs out. Not only that, but it spawned blobs for each champion hit, and you could cast your w while ulting! Now what we have, is essentially a channelled version of the ult we already had, but with only one bounce. Some may point out that you can aim it now and that makes it better, it doesn't. You could already aim it before by getting a good e off behind people. If you positioned him properly, you could knock people whatever direction you want only without a second channel time. Not to mention that they took half a second off of the knock-up on his e for what reason? And before the hotfix buff they had nerfed the damage of it by 40 too.

Literally everything they touched is worse. His new q is better late, and i mean far later because you'll always be maxing this ability last.

In principle I'm fine with them diverting some of the power away from his E, because as he was before he was entirely reliant on landing it to do anything, I'm guessing that's what they intended to do but instead of diverting strength, they just kicked it into the gutter. Just revert this garbage please.

Zac was fine for the last few patches. Anyone saying he was broken before is just a troll. He was good but not even tip tier in his best role.

And they also nered his jungle item. He is at 45% winrate or less in any role now. They messed him up. Pretty sure the only tank with a higher winrate after patch is Sejuani.

I am really getting frustrated with riot reworking champions that 1: I personaly like (but thats my problem I gues) and 2: that work just fine. Zac was well rounded champion. He was not to difficult to play, but not totally auto-pilot mode. Zac also had a unique thouch, while still being somewhat of a "typical" engage-focused tank.

Him loosing so much damage (especially in the AOE departemten [which kinda made him special: he was THE full-AOE-tank]) in additon to his new Q and ult being cluncky and weired to use, make him downright horrible. Especially in top lane where I often played him. His old ult dealing quite a bit of damage and spawing so many blobs is what gave him much of his dueling power. His ult also functioned as an escape, should you get ganked, now it doesnt.

The thing is some people are not all that much into fancy new mechanics. A little polish is all a lot of champions need. I see why champions like Poppy, Sion and Taric (eventhough I like them a lot pre rework <3 old Taric) need reworks, why riot decides to rework Sejuani Zac and Maokai though is beyond me. All three while not to complex, still were champios that were played with frequency and to adequate success.

If you HAVE to kill off out-dated champions focus your energy on more pressing reworks like Urgot, Master Yi, Xin Zao, Tryndamere or Fiddlesticks. Hell maybe considder reworking some of the newer champions that look fancy and great, but are simply broken (either way overpowered or unplayable) due to the nature of their kit. Like Kallista or Azir. Those champions either have no play rate what so ever, or are simply there for seal clubbing in bronze and silver.

I dont want to hate on them too much, but it just looks like riot is exterminating the playstile I have come to love about this game. Old, one-dimentional (for me thats a positive), unforgiving (this too ^^) and fun tanks that do what they do best, but not a whole lot else. These "silver-bullet" type champions are what I enjoy playing. When every champion just becomes a Yasuo clone, because that is hip and the kids like it, I dont know if I can enjoy this game anymore.

Here is a list of my favorite champions (somewhat) recently reworked in a way that negativly impacts (or removes) my playstile:

Zac, Galio, Taric, Rammus, Sejuani, (Poppy, Sion < those two where really silly and needed the rework ... a lot)
