What is the point of capping the placements at Platinum 1 for the new season? Really?

What you do is force Gold 1 and lower players to clump up in Silver and Bronze and have to fight through shit, piss and toxicity to make it back to Gold and Silver. Why the fuck not just give the bitchy challenger players back their challenger spot at 0 LP so they can battle themselves like they do all season instead of giving the rest of us the god awful shit players from Bronze V 100 MMR to deal with?

Fix your broken ranking system Riot. Hard reset that shit so we can all have a fair chance at making it to a better ranking where players take the game seriously. If a challenger caliber player is bitching about having to climb from Silver the next season, he shouldn't be in challenger should he... It's called Challenger because it's supposed to be a "Challenge", not a gift.

I feel like this season is the worst. I've honestly seen the some of the worst players I've ever seen in League of Legends in my ranked games, both enemy and friendly. (This account for all of my online/RL friends and family who play.) My mother even plays better than some of these people. I'm glad I have to fight the climb every year, makes me feel great like my time is totally not being wasted.

I had raised $250 000 for a league related business in recent months. Seeing the same bullshit every year, I'm going to speak to the investors to change direction. I don't want to punish people involved because of the poor decisions the parent company makes for this game. Not to mention this PC culture is comparable to that of a totalitarian dictatorship. Remember how Riot was formed out of the need of players wanting something apart from Dota 2? I foresee a literal game-changer in the next 5 years and League will be left to rot.

When Ranked Flex first launched, players were put in really random tiers, making games completely unbalanced and random based on which players from which tiers were placed together. I saw games with Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond players, all with noticeably different amounts of skill. Everyone complained.

Riot then launched a "fix" that supposedly rectified the problem, but instead shoved most players into Bronze and Silver, so you started seeing games in Bronze with whole teams made up of Gold and Platinum players.

Is that what you actually want? Because a hard reset of ranked would do the same thing, only ten times worse. Every game would have random players in it. There would be no balance between the teams. You'd randomly have a mix of players from Bronze to Masters, and whichever way they were randomly allocated would decide the match. Most games would be a complete stomp one way or the other.

Eventually, after a lot of games, players would begin to sort themselves out and head back towards their tiers, but until that happened the experience would be terrible for everyone.

Yes, the current system has this problem to some extent, since games are already heavily decided based on which players are assigned to each team (e.g. trolls, AFKs and other toxic players deciding games), but it's nowhere near as much as randomness would be deciding games after a hard reset.
