"Toxic" players actually love you.

Fuck this PC Culture. Stop being little bitches and take it like a man when you fuck up, you'll come out stronger in the end instead of hiding behind some Politically Correct curtain that mommy put up for you.. Someone is only being an asshole to you when you fuck up because deep down they want you to do better. It's like when you're 4 and you push a girl you like. You're doing it to get her attention.

If Riot were to completely turn off the punishment system for 1/2 a season and let players sort things out themselves, the natural chaos would inevitably turn into a place where the people that were "toxic" are actually more focused on helping the other players that are doing things completely wrong, instead, after the initial "Fuck you noob" these players are banned/chat restricted only to exacerbate the emotions and say "fuck the system".

The numbers Riot provides are complete bullshit. .002% of players are toxic or whatever that dumbass percent is. It's more like 20-35% of players are toxic, if not higher.

Built in voice comms would also help prevent toxicity and help teamplay. What the fuck year is this that a MMO doesn't have voice comms? Get with it you fucking noobs, Riot.

By the way, I love you.

I don't care for PC culture, but I also don't care for toxic behavior.

When I mess up I know it, you know it, and the enemy knows it. I don't need someone pointing out the obvious to me. Give my ability to process information some respect and let me face my obvious mistake on my own. If I want some input from the peanut gallery I'll ask.

"Don't be a sensitive little bitch".

This coming from someone having a nervous breakdown over a videogame. Got it.

Your name checks out.

EDIT: According to your logic then, all the toxic people that flame us to get our attention are acting like 4 year olds.

I actually agree. I don't think there is another way to say it though. So many safe space sensitive pansies play this game now. Just had one the other day, he actually walked in as voli jg and fed bot lane.. Me and the adc were at the base.. there was NO reason to even try to gank or come in. I asked " Why would you go in and feed a Cait?" and he starts saying I am flaming him and proceed to say he was reporting me and int feeding because "I was mean to him."

OP is right.. people need to grow a set and toughen up. Most of these people shouldn't be on the internet if every little thing is going to trigger you and send you to your safe space with a coloring book.

Edit: And for people that will say that players shouldnt have to deal with it.. they don't.. its called Muting.

As someone who's been here since season 2, I can say with utmost certainty that being toxic helps absolutely no one. If your argument is that players need to be told that they're doing things incorrectly, there's more gentle, effective, and constructive ways of informing them.

For example, rather than spamming "GG TEAM SUCKS" in all chat for twenty minutes before an ff like I'm sure you've been known to do, how about instead saying "Hey lee, can you please gank my lane more? I'm a bit behind and your help could let me catch up."

Saying things like that instead of mindless and imprecise flaming are much more likely to get a positive response. But one thing I've learned over the course of playing this game is that you can't control what people will do. Whether you're screaming or politely asking, there's no guarantee one way or another, which makes screaming like an angry child doubly pointless. Take some advice from everyone's grandpa ever; "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything."

Can confirm. People being an asshole to me has increased my life satisfaction, my annual salary, my outlook on life, my girlfriend's affection towards me, my penis size, and of course gotten me Diamond so I can get more bitches.

People who behave poorly are not doing out of love or care for their fellow players. Don't try to dress it up. Just accept that you're being a douche for selfish, stupid, idiotic reasons (most of the time) and move on, and I'll accept the fact that the opening line to my post is not a joke/sarcasm but actual reality (except for getting diamond obviously).

Trying to defend that kind of behavior as good or decent or helpful isn't going to work because even if you throw out all the snowflakes and their hurt feelings, there is still a standard of behavior even on the internet. That doesn't mean I want you banned, but it does mean I would rather not play with you because I'd rather play with adults who have creative, raunchy banter instead of children who just learned what 'fuck' is.

I am not one for SJW or Pc behavior.

I believe if you want to act like a fucking moron that is your own choice.

I also believe in the rights of others not to have to put up with fucking morons.

I also believe in the right for a company to say we don't want fucking morons doing business with us.

So now I ask you. Are you a fucking moron? I can't answer it for you. However based on your actions I have my own opinion.

It's like when you're 4 and you push a girl you like. You're doing it to get her attention.

You just compared toxic players to children.

Also, when you become an adult, you realize that this behavior isn't how you should treat people. Poor anology.

Built in voice comms would also help prevent toxicity and help teamplay. What the fuck year is this that a MMO doesn't have voice comms? Get with it you fucking noobs, Riot.

Riot does not need their own built in communication. Curse.voice and Discord are free to use and small to download.

I think that there's a really big difference between shoving a girl when you're four and verbally harassing someone on the internet. Sure, both can be chalked up to immaturity, but it's not socially acceptable to be acting like that when you're older Also, I'm sorry I don't want to be called the f-slur. I guess I'm just misinterpreting a slur that has been used in hate speech for decades (sarcasm).

Some people don't want to deal with people cursing them out for making a mistake on a completely meaningless online game. Especially when they know they messed up, and the people the are matched with are the same elo.

By helping the other players, you mean running it down mid while calling everyone a twigged-naga-starman-exposed-clam if someone on the team gives first blood right? Because I'd rather not have that 5 games in a row.

EvilDustMan11/24/2016, 2:56:46 AM1 votes

Yes. Being an asshole at people makes them want to change. That is totally how human nature works.
