Stop making Ashe free

It takes 2-3 games to buy Ashe with IP, and yet I see her more than any other AD carry in the rotation.

Please stop.

I know that the free week champions are for new players, but I remember as a level 15 "nocturne main" that was completely sick of every game getting stomped by Master Yi wishing I could try poppy, and so I did with 450 IP. I barely felt the loss in IP. Meanwhile, I was waiting every single free week for exactly three champions: Jayce, Kha'zix, and Aatrox. These guys seemed really cool to me but would take literally 14 times the IP it would take to buy, for instance, Ashe. It was frustrating then that all these extremely cheap champions were free while those free week slots could have been replaced by champions that seemed so inaccessible to me, and it's frustrating now.

The free rotation is for new players. She's easy to play.

Ashe, Master Yi, Garen and Annie are the meta champions in under lvl 20 games.

Ashe is a great ADC to teach new players. She has mana management, has an ability that helps show how important vision is, self-peel, and an ult to initiate fights. She's fairly low mechanical intensity compared to say, Vayne or Kog. She's just a really good ADC for people to learn on. I think she needs to stay in the rotation, but maybe dial her back some and replace her more often with other safe/simple ADCs like Cait/Trist.

Well, maybe not Trist since she literally is free.

The price is irrelevant.

The whole point of the free rotation is for players to try champions they do not own.

Regardless of whether or not she is 450 or 6300, it gives them the option to try before they purchase her. If they don't like her after buying her, that's just IP wasted.

People still rely on free champ rotation? How do you not have a billion and 1 IP?

I'm (mostly) joking. There really is a moment where you no longer need IP for anything but unlocking champs and rune pages. But for everyone else, there's free champs. I guess it's kinda nice because she's a fairly straightforward ADC and when you're leveling if you're saving for that 6300 IP champ paying any IP for anything sucks.

imo, the most Cost-Efficient ADC in this meta now is KogMaw . 48k Ip is significantly cheaper than the 63k Hypers. And Kog is fairly forgiving to learn and play, especially with the tank meta. Armor/Mr Shred Q, Hp shred/No cost W, Slow E, and Long range execute R. I play both ADC and AP Kog, and he HYPER CARRIES both ways. Hes cost efficient with both cost and late game power.

I agree but thats how riot makes money off of ip boost sometimes. Ashe is always free on the LAN servers, maybe NA should do something like the basic champs are always free and the other champs have a more diverse free rotation week.
