Spiderlings stay behind too much

Since Elise needs a buff anyway, it would be nice if spiderlings were able to join the fight sooner. Right now they do so after like 1-1.5s, they just stay too far behind when she's moving, or even after switching to the spider form during a battle.

It's so she cant just turn around and body block skill shots with spider fodder...I dont even play Elise and i can see that.

If she's running away, the spiderlings are behind her and do block skillshots.

Obviously...

Then I don't see your point

Yea if shes running away a spiderling is going to body block...that is obvious... I was talking about if she's running at the enemy and a skillshot is thrown at her...like i said previously...

But they don't have to be in front of her, just a little closer, or maybe next to her. Or perhaps they could have a dash, so that they'd join in immediately when Elise starts attacking someone.

I'm 110% sure that when you q in spider form the spiderlings will engage your target no matter where they are they will lunge with you. This is one of those kind of things that determines good elise players and bad elise players.

But you don't wanna Q until the target has very low health. So it makes no sense to engage with it.

I didn't say engage with it. I said your spiderlings will engage when you Q. You should engage in human form to maximize your damage. (Cocoon) then place your toxic spider in a good position. Q and then switch forms and repeat. Your spiderlings and your toxic spider will lunge at the target you Q'd in spider form for the perfect assasination
