Prioritize the vitals in duels and build some sustain. She's also not an assassin, so don't go full AD and expect to have much impact. So build some defensive items (I recommend visage because of the increased healing you'll get from your ult).
I don't play her much, so that's all I can recommend.
Thank you for the advice. I don't know why I haven't thought of giving Fiora Spirit Visage.
Hi! I love fiora, and I'd love to help. Runes : Atk Spd Quints/ AD reds/ Armor yellows/ MR Blues (6 flat cdr and 3 scaling cdr if u want). masteries are interesting. I still love 0/12/18 w/ grasp and taking pickpocket in the 12. I'll explain why soon. Otherwise you can take 18/12 w/ fervor if you want.
Items: I start corrupting because her lvl 1 and 2 are so strong usually. Gives you strong trades. If lane is hard start dorans blade or shield even. Build Hydra and then black cleaver. Black cleaver is her bread and butter. Fiora loves CDR and loves the Phage passive. The armor shred isn't that important since you do roughly 40% true damage. After this, you can build defensive if you want, or build Bloodthirster or Deaths dance. Deaths dance gives you more sustain and 10% cdr, while bloodthirster gives you insane sustain and a lot of AD. Your ult heal scales off your AD by the way.
Fiora's identity is in her Q and her passive (vitals). Your Q is roughly a 12 second cooldown at early ranks, but 60% gets refunded if you hit something with it. This means you can get 2 or 3 Q's while attacking something, but probably only 1 while running away. Your Q automatically chooses what it's going to hit, you just dash it in a direction. It first tries to hit a vital, but if there are no vitals it'll then just try to hit the enemy champion. If there's no champion in range, it'll try to hit the lowest health minion ( convenient for last hitting if getting creep blocked). So to hit a vital, you just need to dash near that side of the champion.
The "Freelo" trade: (lvl 1-18) If you took grasp and pickpocket, this is my favorite trade, because it's so easy. The Grasp of the undying proc becomes available after you've been in combat for 4 seconds, this means auto'ing minions for 4 seconds most likely. You can see it on the utility bar above your ability icons. When it goes green, you're ready. Now, you Q at your enemy, hopefully to a vital. If you do you'll proc both grasp and pickpocket and the vital, doing roughly 7% of their max health (2.5% grasp, 3% true, + Q damage) with one hit all while getting the healing from both grasp and your passive and a movespeed buff to disengage. Oh, you also get 10 free gold. That's pickpocket. in 10 seconds you can do this again w/ pickpocket, in 4 seconds you can do it again with just all the damages. After you Q in and get all the procs, just run out. You drew minion aggro since her Q applies onhit effects (like pickpocket & grasp).
Now when you get comfortable with that you can add in your E. It's an auto attack reset (as is your Q kinda). So you get your grasp proc up by hitting minions, Q in and proc the vital and the bonuses, then auto them and immediately hit ur E and auto again. the first half of the E slows them while the vital proc you just got also gives you movespeed. Use this to run ahead of them or towards where the next vital will show up (likely the opposite side). The second auto on the E is a crit. Yes, free crit. Hit that and then disengage. You likely just chunked them a decent amount without much retaliation at all.
Fiora is most fun fighting against tanks, cause you do %max health true damage, which is their worst enemy. When fighting a tank, you generally wanna hit 1 or 2 vitals on them as they come up, and then use your ult and hit the rest. This gives you way more damage than you would get if you just get the 4 ult vitals. Work in the trades i discussed above and don't forget your W. Most tanks have some form of hard cc, and if you can parry it (W) then you can avoid being stunned yourself while stunning them in return. doing this guarantees you atleast another vital hit which usually means you win the dual
Omg this build is so much fun! Thanks a lot!
