Question about attacking from brush

I'm trying to understand how visibility works when you attack from brush. I'd appreciate if anyone could bring an answer to my questions.

  1. I've read that only point-and-click abilities and AA's will reveal you, so skill shots won't make you visible. Is this true?
  2. Let's say you AA from brush and become visible. For how long do you stay visible? Forever until you leave brush and go back in it? Or is there a timer for becoming invisible again?
  3. Let's say you and an ally both hide in brush. Your ally initiates an AA, do you become visible too?

  1. As far as I'm aware, yes. I believe that some AoE atttacks also reveal you while some do not. Most true skillshots do not actively reveal you, but they do tell your opponent where you are. Most notably of revealing abilities is Aurelion Sol's passive, where he is not revealed but his stars are not hidden with him. Non-hostile effects also do not reveal you I believe, meaning Soraka's W won't reveal her.

  2. There's a short timer, I believe of just a couple seconds. It doesn't require re-entering and I believe re-entering doesn't actually reset the timer anyways.

  3. You will not be revealed, although you might be functionally revealed by their following ability telling the opponent where you are - For instance, if Soraka autos an enemy then heals you while still visible, it'll tell the opponent that you're also in the bush, but you won't actually be visible, they'll just know someone's there and they can probably assume it's you.

Of course, all of these rules are guidelines, not hard and fast rules
