I'm torn on the rework. I'm beyond excited to hop walls, but I'm not too crazy about losing my auto reset or blink. Either way I doubt the new version will be broken at all.

im slightly concerned on how the pathing will be over said walls. will it be like bard tunnel or will it make you jump the shortest distance possible over that segment of wall

From what I watched and read I'm pretty sure the jump has a max distance, and if your chosen path would be too far it takes you to the closest possible exit point.

talon is going to be a midlaner and was only ever a niche jungler. im pretty sure he will stay a midlaner, just one that roams alot and therefor can use the wall hopping to great advantage
