Released my full Patch 5.12 Tier List with patch analysis, competitive insight, and long-term predictions about the changes. Every champion is ranked statistically by solo queue performance metrics rated in favor of high Elo play. No, pick/ban more often correlates with how annoying is to play against the particular champion.

Pick/ban is what people perceive as strong. I include that as an influencing factor in the final score, it is a major influencing factor for champions that top the category. Win-rate is how a champion actually performs. I include that as the primary factor in the final score.

Um, what? This list makes no sense. At the very least, it doesn't reflect professional play in the slightest.

Kalista who's 100% pick/ban in pro play falls all the way down to yellow?
Bard who's a top support is lower than Zyra or even Nami, who he's a superior version of?
Ekko is red in 2 roles and orange in the last, despite being very successful and a top pick?
Alistar in orange???
I can't trust any list that doesn't put Sona in red.

Frankly, I learned nothing from this. I can't help, but wonder how much these numbers were affected by low Elo. I'd imagine a very great deal.

The numbers for the individual role tabs are consistent with those from http://champion.gg/, which means they likely come from there. Those champions are held down in this list by their bad win rate it seems to me (win rate being weighted at 71.4% of the final score according to the Faq page of the spread sheet).

Maybe it doesn't make sense to you because you assume it should reflect professional play? It has absolutely nothing to do with how a champion performs in competitive play, which in itself is information that would only be useful to a few hundred people at most. It is based off of solo queue statistics. Read the FAQ which is attached to it to answer all of these questions.

The FAQ doesn't provide me the equation that was used in calculating the numbers. Of course, a lot can still be taken just by looking at the result. I can tell for one that the equation is incomplete, missing multiple steps and factors. I can also tell that too many liberties were taken in cutting several corners, probably from rounding too early and not using enough decimals. Every complete equation I've seen using solo-queue data has always placed Sona at the bottom of the supports list. This table was calculated using too little information and all of it left quite raw.

It is the sum of each index value after multiplying by the weight for the category.

Index value is simply the value for that category divided by the highest.

Why is their a category weight? Such data can be intentionally manipulated to misleadingly skew the results in a discriminatory manner.

For example: who determines the weight? How is the weight determined? Why is the weight determined as such? All of these are subjective and will lead to drastically differing results.

It absolutely does in a giant graphic with a table to explain all of the terminology. You can also download the file with the link below the table and open it in Microsoft Excel and look at the formula line yourself or tweak the formula to your own liking or use the data for your own purposes. It is completely transparent and I've helped other people in the past develop their own systems and publish them on their own blogs.

You are being extremely dense and rude merely because you don't like the idea. Feel free to not read it or down-vote me, but how the calculations are done is absolutely clear, referenced, and capable of being modified for anyone's purposes additionally. There isn't another tier list site on the internet that is more transparent in its calculations than mine.
