Vayne

Change Goals Silver Bolts is about expected time to kill on all targets (not squishy bursting), and Vayne's path to success needs to come through Silver Bolts. Base Stats AD/lvl reduced 2.66 >>> 1.66 W - Silver Bolts Flat Damage removed Percent Health Damage increased 4/5/6/7/8% >>> 6/7.5/9/10.5/12% Minimum damage introduced at 40/60/80/100/120 flat damage

So, what do you guys think, honestly?

I'm remaining neutral and waiting to see how this plays out.

I would remove the minimal damage.

The reduction of 3AD at Plat+ dropped her win rate by 2-3%. If you think she'll ever survive lane with these nerfs you're smoking the same shit as whoever came up with the idea. If they ever pick Vayne in a pro game and the lane swap fails it's GG.

What is the source to this?

Added it to the first post.

It's basically all I wanted to see out of Vayne.

Well, there's still the ridiculous flat AD Ratio on her ultimate, but the flat damage on Silver Bolts was really one of my biggest complaints against her.

Why the hell is there a minimum damage component? This is gonna make her strong in the mid game.

Why the hell is there a minimum damage component? This is gonna make her strong in the mid game.

The minimum is just to assure she has atleast a set damage and doesn't make her W really weak versus extremely low hp opponents. She actually does lose some dmg mid game vs Squishier opponents. See below for opponents assuming Vayne is maxing R > W > Q > E. (Note, don't forget in the calculations below, she loses a significant amount of 15 DMG per proc at lvl 6 and 27 DMG per proc at lvl 10.)

Opponent: Jinx

Lvl 6 HP = 842 Old Vayne Dmg = 40 + 842 x .06 = 90.5 Dmg New Vayne = 842 * .09 = 75.78 Dmg (Minimum of 80 is used) (15 AD Lost during 3 hits) Difference per proc = 10.5 True Dmg + 15 AD Dmg

Lvl 10 Jinx Hp = 1152 Old Vayne Dmg = 60 + 1152 x .08 = 152.16 New Vayne Dmg = 1152 x .12 = 138.24 Difference per Proc = 13.92 True Dmg + 27 AD DMG

Opponent: Lux

Lvl 6 HP = 790 Old Vayne Dmg = 87.4 Dmg New Vayne = 71.1 (Minimum of 80 is used) Difference = 7.4 True DMG + 15 AD DMG

Lvl 10 HP = 1089 Old Vayne DMG = 147.12 New Vayne DMG = 130.68 Difference = 16.44 True and 27 AD

Opponent = TahmKench

Lvl 6 HP = 985 Old Vayne = 99.1 DMG New Vayne = 88.6 DMG Difference = 1.5 True Dmg and 15 AD

Lvl 10 HP = 1345 Old Vayne = 167.6 New Vayne = 161.4 Difference = 6.2 True Dmg and 27 AD

So looking at this, Vayne is actually weaker all around per base hps mid game. Only the highest of base hps will equal old Vayne. Vayne will now still be the tank buster, greatly hurting tanks that stack armor and hp, but will have lower dmg against lower squishier hp targets by a significant amount per proc.

And if my math is correct with Vayne lvl 18, at 2800 hp + on an opponent is when Vayne finally gets to the break even point where her new W does more damage than her old W when max. This definitely pushes her more to the tank buster, and not as painful to lower hp targets. (BTW, 2800 is for no resistances... didn't feel like adding that in. If you add in resistances to what percentage of that AD would actually be considered hitting through def, it would probably push that number down closer to the 2400 range for break even. Way too many variable between armor amount and armor pen amounts)

vayne buff ?its already toxic mechanic ,on armored garen, 330 armor and 3k health ,i took 300 botrk 300 basic but 900 true damage

true damage should be removed forever,

% true damage and no cd is beyond unhealthy

You have neglected the AD nerf per level she has. At lvl 10 when she first has the opportunity to hit max W, she loses 9 ad per AA, which is a reduction of 27 DMG per cycling of Silver Bolt procs. At Lvl 18, she loses 51 AA DMG per Silver Bolt Cycle.

Remove everything and just put a flipping current health % instead

You can add numbers from there.

Neo Cyrus1 votes

Then she wouldn't kill any tanks, the current health would drop to a point that anything she does is negligible damage and her actual damage is not enough to dent that remaining amount. That's compounded with the fact that her most effective start is a Bork which gets its power from % current health.

Not that it matters, she'll never survive the laning phase with her base damage nerfed. 3 AD, that's all it took for a 2% drop previously. I wonder how much it'll be now.

Dunkrius2g1 votes

Actually something even better than making her true damage current health. The fact that riot wants her to be a even stronger tank buster means that the nerf i propose is this:

Reduce her attack speed scaling. honestly, the ad per lv is less means that she has the bad early game she should have but gets made up when she gets her ult. Reducing the attack speed from 4% to 2.5% or 3% per level is the way to go.

I have no clue how the math works out, so I can't really say anything.

Tl;DR

It's a nerf.

But the damage reduction is about 4-6 true damage and 9 AD per three autos at level 3. It gets worse from there on squishy targets.

It will nerf her but this won't kill her at all.

Oh boy, they are buffing silver bolts! You know as a tank I love seeing the 15k gold I invested into defensive items equate to tissue paper because of champ select.

Everyone sees a single positive thing in a sea of negative and instantly reverts to their "Fuck vayne OP Fuck riven OP Fuck fizz OP" memes, it's actually sad how nearly no one can think rationally, I dont personally like those champions much, but seriously, no one has any frontal lobe apparently...
