Am i punished for soloing ?

Being a Soloesque top laner is the worst experience in the current dynamic queue environment.

Why ? 1). If they have a 3+ premades as TOP/JUNG/MID you have only one option for laning : DEF PS: No, even if you stomp the enemy Top laner, and you get their jungler/mid attention, this will not make your team take advantage of free objectives.Because for that to happen, you should continuously communicate with them. Which doesn't happen, when you play solo and they are premades.

2). Even if you have the same number of premades in your team, if your jungler is one of them, expect him to give his premades priority. TLDR: expect your premade jungler to not give a shit about you

Right now, the whole solo TOP-DQ experience is this :

A).Do you have the better premades? YES > Win B). Do they have the better premades? NO > Lose As you can see there is no personal skill rewards involved in this equation (assuming you are half-decent in playing this game).

Clear case :

Case A: We were against 2+2 premades, where my team had a 3 players premade. They had Top/Jungle premade, and ADC/Mid premade. My team had Jungler/Mid/ADC premade In this game, it was case 1a. Ignoring what i said in my first pharagraph (play def against top/jungle premade), i got absolutely stomped in top lane. Back in lane, get dived, die, repeat. Meanwhile, our bot lane, due to our Mid/Jung/ADC synchronization, was winning extremely hard. It was like we were playing separate games. Basically, this turned into a deathmatch game. I won the game. But my experience in this game was the opposite of fun.

Case B: I had 3 premades (ADC/Supp/Jungle), playing against 3+2 premades (Top/Jungle/Mid and Adc/Supp). Now, this game was a recipe for disaster. Let's put away the fact that we were 3 vs 3+2 premades. What's more important is my personal experience in this game : I absolutely stomped their top laner in this game.He couldn't literally get back to lane (did proxy farm, waited him in the bush before he could reach turret). He had like 20cs in min 8, 0 3 0 score, and i had 3+ lvl advantages on him. From this moment, playing as Aatrox i knew i could 1v2 their Top/Jungler. Which actually almost happened (didnt'died, but couldn't finish them either due to their heavy cc comp). Meanwhile, as in case A, mid and bot played a totally different game.Death after death after death. Then, when their premades saw they can't 1v2 me, shit started to get real. I was getting camped by their Top/Jung/Mid premade. Had no chance against so much CC and coordination (Gragas/Naut/Lux). Even so, they always had to use all their ults to kill me (i built lots of MR). Was my team getting any advantages because of always having to 1v3 ? No, because we couldn't afford the coordination of having continuously communication, nevermind the bad team composition. My personal experience in this game ? Absolutely awful.

You could check those two cases in my match history (last two games), and you could see i am not lying or exagerating with anything.

Now, back to thread title, why am i punished for soloing ?

Do you really think the matchmaking system is out to get you? That's the only way it could be punishing you.

No. It's not a punishment. Adapt your strategy or you will lose. Don't rely on or expect ganks and don't play risky champions. If you get camped expect your jungler to help your other two lanes instead. If you die expect to use the mute button.

Seriously, this is some old solo queue stuff here. It's not exactly new. You're playing with a bunch of strangers either way, it's just in this case you have a chance of your team's strangers being better coordinated than they would have been before.

Don't play the victim card and consider this a punishment. You're not being punished for anything.

I have absolutely nothing to say about the matchmaking. Where did you understood that i've complained about MM?

Your analogy is flawed. Don't play risky champions ? You can also translate this into "Don't have fun playing this game".

First off I don't really know how to read your post in a way that doesn't ultimately blame matchmaking. You're complaining about the premades, right? Well, the matchmaking system will put you will premades if you play solo in dynamic queue. That's just how it works, otherwise premades of 4 could not exist.

Sorry if I'm reading it wrong, as it is late at night for me, but your entire post seems to be blaming premades for your bad time, which goes back to the dynamic queue matchmaking system that placed you with them.

As for "risky champions" I mean don't play champions you can easily fall behind on. People who are skilled with feast or famine champions know how to do well when behind and catch up. These people have the knowledge they need to make their feast or famine pick a safe pick with regards to the game at hand.

In any case nothing is punishing you. You may not be enjoying yourself, but that's hardly grounds for saying you're being punished for your actions.

IMO, matchmaking is okay-ish for a Dynamic Queue environment, IF NO ONE PLAYS solo.

I just want a pure SoloQ experience.

The addition of a new fully solo queueing experience is still on the table. Riot did admit they might trash the idea before anything comes of it, but they haven't done so yet.

Odds are good if it does arrive it will be after the new client later this year. That would give them enough time to figure out whether a new queue like this is actually needed or not, and if there is enough interest to warrant it.

They got rid of Dominion due to lack of play, and are adding a new weekend rotation between temporary game modes, so I doubt they want to risk another new queue unless enough players are queueing up solo in the first place.

You may want to review that :3
