let us create a custom champion pool or pools in the client, much like custom item builds, let us give it a name e.g toplane, midlane etc and put specific champs into it that we play, i know this kind of exists in the "role" search of assassin marksmen etc, however it is quite lousy, this change would just make champ select more hassle free for players in general, can see no downside to implementing this and i really want a red to atleast see the idea c:

It has been suggested before but it's still a good idea. Other concepts included being able to make our own search terms to apply to champs.

I don't think it's something Riot will be able to do until they finish fixing their client, but it's also good to remind them so they don't forget about this kind of stuff and that people want it.

So never, they're to tied to Adobe AIR in the client to fix it properly.

I can't recall where, but a Rioter stated that they are working on a new non-AIR client. I would expect that it is still a long ways off, though.

I have a similar idea : Let us put the champions we like as favorites. They'd come first in champ select ahead of the others in alphabetical orders with a yellow border/little star/something.

I'd love this! I still find it a bit annoying to search "Support" and not get all the champions I usually pick support (Missing ones off the top of my head being Leona, Lux and the rare Veigar)

... As well as occasionally completely forgetting which champions I have for top lane. (I never play top)

I've always advocated this whenever a similar idea has come up. Even something simple like letting the search word you put in last time stay for the next champ select and filter correctly would at least allow you to have one champion you want to keep playing already filtered for normals.

You can currently type in a search "Annie|Leona|Thresh" and those champions will show up (without the quotations of course). This isn't a perfect solution, but you could also just have them (Annie|Leona|Thresh) on a sticky note and Copy + Paste.
