How do I play league of legends?
Can someone who knows how to play the game explain to me how to play the game and how the game works? I looked and found there are no good tutorials for this game.

Rule 1: Pick your role. The Roles are Top, Middle,ADC,Support, and Jungle. Rule 2: Every champions has different abilities, but some can be almost the same as others with different effects. Rule 3: You have 3 options while in lane. You can A) farm minions while poking the enemy champion, B) Ignore minions and focus on champion kills(Don't suggest this one). C) focus on both and try to master both the farm and the poke. Rule 4: If you think a call is stupid like Baron kill or a Dragon kill and the JG tells you and shows you his smite is down for 30 seconds and the enemy JG is spotted near that objective ignore them and then mute them.
Rule 5: This is the most important rule focus on your game play only. Ignore what everyone else is doing and focus on yourself. If you team is standing around waiting for minions with their thumb up their asses go farm something else. Rule 6: Objectives wins games NOT kills. Objectives get you kills, but kills do not get you objectives. Objectives are Towers/Dragons/Rift Herald/Baron.
That's an extremely open ended question that'd probably take essays to answer. If you want a TL;DR I guess, kill the enemy nexus before they kill yours, although I suppose that's not the answer you want. What in specific are you asking?
Here is a copy/paste answer to a long response I had to someone else's post. Not all of it applies to you as it was to someone else's post, but it is very detailed and should help.
Wow...I spent way more time on this than I thought so I really hope you read it and improve your play with it.
Here are some random tips that should help you out.
Stop getting Duskblade every single game. It is only good on a few champs who can abuse its power by getting in and out of fights quickly to make use of its bonus damage. Crit provides way more sustained damage for ADC's which is what you want.
If you already know this you can just ignore it, but using shift + click to attack when you play a ranged champ is way safer. Sometimes you can miss your target and walk right into the enemy. If you hold shift, you will automatically attack the closest target to your cursor removing the risk of casually walking into the middle of a wave or into the face of an enemy fighter.
Lane control: Almost nobody in bronze know how to control the minion wave (if they do they aren't there for very long) so no one ever sees it and learns how to do it themselves. Lane control is a very important mechanic to increase your safety while denying your enemy both gold and exp. Lane control is a situational thing that just uses if/then statements for the most part.
If the enemy isn't in lane and you know they won't be for a little bit because they either just recalled your you just killed them, then push the minions under their tower as fast as you possibly can. Have your support help if you are playing ADC and don't worry about them taking a few cs to do so. As soon as this happens, you should go back to base and buy items every single time, even if you only have like 500g. The reason being is that as soon as the enemy gets to lane, all of your team's minions will be dead meaning they get no exp or gold and the wave will be pushing back towards your tower. This brings up the next condition.
If the minions are pushing towards your tower, then let them. Only last hit but DO NOT LET THEM GET UNDER YOUR TOWER. It takes some practice to get used to how fast you have to kill minions to do this. This is called freezing the lane. The enemy wave needs to be 4 or more minions larger than your wave for it to work. Always keep 4 alive but don't let them get to your tower. As soon as they kill your minions, your next wave should show up and the cycle will continue until you kill minions faster than your laning opponent or they kill them fast enough to push the wave to your tower. After you achieve the 4 minion cycle, you have to match the rate that the enemy attacks minions.
If you get a lead, do not push the lane. You may think that pushing minions under tower will deny farm, but doing the above section and freezing against an enemy who is behind makes it almost impossible to catch up. Don't go for kills at this point unless it is 100% guaranteed that you can kill the enemy because a freeze will break as soon as you go for a kill. This will push the wave back to the enemy tower giving them exp they would otherwise miss for fear of approaching your tower.
Do not go for kills when there are minions to be killed unless the enemy is just playing stupidly. As soon as you win a trade, back off. Even if you don't get the kill, you still won lane by either making them play passively so you can again freeze lane or making them go back so you can push the wave under tower denying them that CS.
Always have a control ward on the map. Even if you just buy one early and put it in your own jungle where it can stay without getting killed for 15+ minutes, it still helps a lot. You should always get one on your first back unless you only have enough gold for your core item. If all 5 people on your team always have 1 on the map, it makes it very difficult for the enemy to gank. Remember to replace it on your next back when it gets destroyed.
Change your trinket at level 9 unless you are a middle or top laner. ADC's should get farsight alteration to safely ward bushes from a distance before face checking them. Some middle laners can get it too, but most mids have some kind of defensive tool to get out of a bad face check. Supports should switch to sweeping lens as soon as they buy sightstone for obvious reasons. Jungler should switch to sweeping lens when it is no longer necessary for them to help ward or after they get the tracker's knife.
Just don't be stupid. There is a lot to this one, but here are the big ones.
If the enemy is all missing and you expect that they are doing baron or dragon, don't try to stop them by yourself unless you can safely attempt a steal from over the wall. Walking up to try to steal in the middle of 5 enemies works maybe 5% of the time and results in your death 99.99% of the time. Even if you steal, you die leaving your team at a disadvantage for the coming defense.
Don't try pushing a lane when you can't see any enemies unless you are doing it for a reason like splitting bottom with teleport to either tp to help at baron if the enemy shows up or for your team to get it for free if the enemy comes to kill you. In this case you let them kill you to get a free baron. You should only split if you can see 3+ enemies on the map. As soon as they go into the fog of war, stop pushing.
Do not tower dive early in the game. It only works probably about half the time anyways. Going back to the lane control section, if you can't safely kill them, let them back and get a cs lead while they are in base. The risk of a tower dive far outweighs the reword. If you are thinking of diving, you probably already have a lead and possibly even a bounty. A kill on the enemy could get you 200g and a death gives them 400g. It mathematically doesn't make sense to even try it. The enemy also has the minion advantage. If you kill them, they miss the cs they would have missed if they went back anyways. If they kill you, they get the gold from killing you as well as more cs than you would get if you killed them because the minion wave is bigger.
Honestly, I would check out the free champions every week and try out the ones that look interesting and seem like you'd enjoy them! You can preview their abilities in the client by clicking Collection > Under the All Champions drop down, select Free Champion Rotation > Go through them all, clicking on them and watching their abilities and find one that looks the most fun for you. (You can also make in-game item sets from the link below here! Just click Items and click the +(Plus) sign next to the search bar to create a new item set for a specific Champ!)
You can go here to find super helpful guides on how to play the champion you just chose effectively (typically go for the highest rated guide but that isn't always the case as they can be outdated or for a different play style!) The guides will give you your item builds, your skill rotation, counters to you or who you counter (and tips on how to fight against your counters), tips on how to use that champion most efficiently!
For example, I'm a support main! So I personally love Janna! Here is her top rated guide which is great! But if you want to try something else, I can try this 20% Cool Down/CD start build which could be really fun!
Most importantly, play in bots for awhile until you have a good grasp on how to play your champion well and how to maneuver the map and/or kill minions! (csing) You can also utilize the Practice Tool! That is super helpful for learning new champions, trying out new builds and just generally playing around with things! Once you feel comfortable on the Rift, with your champion and are able to outplay the Intermediate bots you can go ahead and queue up for normals and try your hand at PvP! Do not be discouraged if you lose a couple games and aren't fantastic at first! No one is! We all started from where you are and learned to get where we are, some are further, some aren't and that's okay! Whatever your goals are on the Rift, you'll get there! Just have patience and most importantly, HAVE FUN! [sg-ahri-2]
