I should not be able to play two games in under an hour
I say hour, but it was really closer to 50 minutes.
Do you guys remember old Riot? When they would make tons of changes to a champion in a single patch? This is unsurprisingly extremely hard to balance around, and often resulted in them overshooting or undershooting the desired strength of a champion. Either they would go from really strong to completely gutted, insatiably weak to incredibly strong, or in that one case with Lucian when they brought his range to 500 and they meant for him to get nerfed but still viable but instead just made him MORE op (LOL).
For a while now, they've been using a different strategy of giving smaller nerfs or buffs over a longer time span. This not only made it easier to balance, but brought a champion to strength over time, not a extremely sudden change that catches everybody by surprise. So what happened in 5.22? It looked like old Riot to me. They nerfed towers, gave minions a buff when one team is ahead, increased gold income, and just made all these changes at once that completely shocked the system, and completely overshot the goal. I was one of the people who was for shorter games, but when my median game time is 25 minutes, well that's a problem.
