Answer#1: Rengar was 1 level ahead of you. He was running predator so that boosted his damage. He dealt true damage via his ult, plus you had literally no armor for the physical damage he was carrying. Moreover, none of your items gave you any health.

Answer#2: Riot's balance department has been out to lunch for most of this season.

Even if one thinks that what you did could have been improved on, at 15 minutes into the game the vaporization was a bit too much.
