Fiddlesticks mid isn't a troll pick, but with the recent nerfs I wouldn't say that he is viable for most matchups. He is good against LeBlanc, but other than her I can't think of a matchup that he would be good.

He used to counter Zed, but now even Zed can beat him in lane...

I like him vs. Yasuo actually, as weird as it sounds. I also think he's strong vs. Viktor and Annie, two of the popular picks are now as well.

People call anything that isn't meta or at least considered good in solo queue a troll pick. Basically any time you pick something that isn't accepted by the herd it's called a troll pick. It's never going to change either. The LoL community is full of sheeple.
