Riot should stop releasing new Champions

...and focus on half of the current Champion pool that are completely and utterly useless in this meta. Literally deactivate them and release them back one by one until their kits are of 2015 standard.

Before every game I can honestly name 5 or 6 of the Champions that are gonna be picked/banned. Botlane is a combination of Thresh, Leona, Vayne and Jinx. Jungle is either Shyvana or Yi. Mid we're talking Ahri or Ekko or Yasuo or Annie. Top it's Gnar, Vladamir or Riven or Tryndamere.

And I'm not even going to get into the clusterfuck of items Riot has introduced over the last three patches that have single-handedly propelled a handful of Champions into top tier, while leaving everyone else in the dust.

I was kind of with you until you suggested they deactivate half the champ roster.

Making a new champion doesn't stop them from working on older champions, especially now.

They have a fairly big team that works on balance, champ design, reworks, etc, and not every person is on every team at the same time. What I mean by that, when someone is working on say, a Poppy rework, they aren't also working on a new champ at the same time and taking time away from the other group.

Sure they are similar jobs, but they don't overlap 100% of the time, so fixing a champ or making a new one doesn't necessarily take time away from the other today as it might have a year ago.

I do agree with your sentiment, but I think we don't have to worry too much about that anymore, especially given how many champions they are working on. I mean we just got what, 6 in the past month? Sure MF wasn't great, and I might not like all 4 of the new ones, but they are doing it.
