Atleast i managed to upgrade it before they reduced the essence gain. Can´t imagine how hard it has to be now...practically impossible I would guess.

It is a skin shard, so I can unlock it with essence. Yes, you can obtain loot-exclusive skins from skin shards (although it is incredibly difficult and I've been incredibly lucky to get that). That said, I need 2150 orange essence to unlock it and I currently only have 166.
With the fact that Riot lowered the value from OE you get from disenchanting skin shards, it will be even harder to craft this shard.

They release the new BE system with absolutely shitty returns, knowing that they'll increase it from absolutely shitty to 'still absolutely shitty, but less shitty', and bank on the monkeys viewing them as heroes. They're not fooling anyone above single digit IQs, the OE disenchant needs to be a full revert. I actually posted all of this on the boards preemptively when it was first announced, because every greedy fuck company and their mothers use this pathetic tactic.

So i'm guessing they lowered it to make up for shit like that.

Riot did say the reason they lowered disenchant rates for skins was because they increased the amount of skins you are gonna get in general, so it should all work out to be about the same rate of skin unlocks. It's actually better because you can take all the extra skins and just re-roll them (so get a lot more skins) or you can have more chooses so you're more likely to get skins you actually want. I got some garbage champion shards and useless emotes. Yes im talking about hextech chesta. Since realese of crafting drop of skins was becomming worse and worse but now its a god damn overkill. They can as well just remove this and give us nothing at all. Paired with that orange essence nerf it is even worse.
