What I don't understand is why do so many keystones add damage when they could be tuned for utility

This season is, as everyone knows, by far the worst season in terms of meta and gameplay. Runes reforged as an idea is something that i actually liked but the fact that every keystone in the game somehow gives you damage instead of something else like old keystones before RR, makes the entire game too snowbally. For starters, too high damage in the early game without any time to react on it. Electrocute deals way too much damage in early game, other runes are also giving you some sort of damage and let me tell you, it is NOT healthy to have every rune in the game deal damage. There was a post i've seen yesterday about making runes more of a utility things rather than pure damage and i couldn't agree more on that, i'll put the link of that thread. Next up, true damage. Your entire new idea of giving weak champions true damage in their kit is absurd. Idea of making an entire class useless due to the very existence of true damage ( on everyone except juggernauts ) is a joke. Everyone in the game should be buffed wether its in terms of itemization or the champion itself by their own roles. If you're an mage, you will get some ap ratios / base damage up or down. For example Ahri. She was, before this season a champion that was extremely weak ( comparing to Ahri now ) in terms of damage and lane pressure in early to mid game while now, after no reason, she got true damage in her kit is something absolutely stupid. If you find a champion weak, that doesn't mean you gotta give them true damage. Next up, lethality. I find lethality as a bit tougher topic than others. Why? Two reasons. Lethality is the core of Assassin class ( AD assassin, that is ) when it comes to bursting and AD assassins always buy at least one lethality item wether it is Youmuu's or Duskblade, or both ( i don't even remember the last time i saw someone with edge of night ). The thing is, Assassins have such a small variety of items that they can buy and their build is ALWAYS linear. While they have no other options to buy except lethality, that brings us to the second issue and that's lethality's usability. Lethality items are extremely good for bursting down champions once you get enough damage / ult ( depends on the champion again ) and since an item costs just 1100, i find it too cheap for the damage it gives. My suggestions, of course, are not necessarily right and i'd like everyone who has an idea to write it down, i'd love to hear new stuff. So here it is:

  1. Runes Reforged - The entire idea of the thread i've put in the link above, tune some runes for utility, not every rune needs to provide damage. Nerf early game Electrocute damage, delete Conqueror and give Bruisers something to work with against tanks, maybe a new item or a new passive for some of their core items so they are not weak as they were last two seasons ( for example make them an armor penetration item that goes with their role, giving them HP and something on it. Personally i think Sterak's Gage would be a good item to give that on if you're not making a new item for them )
  2. True damage - Delete ALL true damage from the game and go back to basics. The only one who has true damage are juggernauts. Darius, Garen, even Camille, Yorick ( because he really needs to get a buff, he's really weak at the moment ). If Ahri is weak, give her kit something to work with. For example increase damage on her E so her bonus damage goes from 20% to 25/30% increased damage. No AP's or AD's other than a few juggernauts should be able to deal any sort of true damage.
  3. Itemization - Nerf serrated dirk early, make it something like GP's kegs. Give it 5 lethality at start and make it go up to 15 on level 13 and 16 that way we can bring some late game back with making lethality a scalable thing again. Luden's echo needs to get nerfed. It gives too much for its price. 20% should be reduced to 10% cooldown and 90 ap to 80 ap. Passive the same. Add some new items to the table for AD Assassins that give them sustainable damage rather than early game burst so enemy can have time to react if the roam happens.

That'd be it from me, hope you guys like it and of course, give some new ideas.

Restarting the game, and doing everything from scratch for the sake of game balance is something Riot will never do in my opinion (because it would take too much time that Riot seems to never have anyway apparently), even if it's the best thing they could do right now in my opinion.
