After being hardstuck silver for 4 years.. I reached Gold!

I'm not going to give you this huge success story on how i fixed my macro and my toxicity and i suddenly started climbing.

Winning in league is RNG not skill based well not anymore anyway, There is only so much one person can do to carry a game and make it winnable.

Sometimes games are meant to be lost, its a 50/50 winrate system you can have bad rng and good rng.

Here's some things i did change on my way to gold.

Stop fucking typing and disable allied chat - you're already halfway to gold.

Play easy champions - annie, soraka, volibear less mechanics less chances of fucking up.

Stop watching those dumb ass tier lists and youtube videos, They are all masters/challengers and they do not promote anything to do with low elo or average players.

Pick YOUR favorite champion the one you have fun with and get good on them, in silver elo picks barely matter.

And don't feel so bad about being in silver, you know? doesnt make you any less of a human being despite what a 0/15 diamond is flaming you for.

Ps don't play ranked at weekends.

The kids and man-children reign supreme.

Your advice is actually pretty solid, your vision blows though. (your knack for surviving while being aggressive without it is impressive though) You should still ward for allies, even if it's keeping vision on JG exits for your JG or a deep pink though. Maybe grab a blue trinket.

Beyond that the other guy already mentioned, your gold income is a bit on the weak side, go hard on csing practice.

IMO the biggest mistake low-rank players make is trying to follow high-rank player advice to the letter rather than analyzing their own gameplay. The game really plays out differently at low ranks and if you stop to think, it's easy to find your own flaws. It's important to play around allies weaknesses/strengths in their gameplay in low rank though, and this is something no high-rank player will ever teach you to do.

There is a lot of things that you probably could have worked on. I was in the same situation until this season. Hard, Stuck, Silver/low Gold. However this season I climbed to Plat 4. I'm gonna list out a few things's I learned. 1, Jungle pathing, as a top lane main, the junglers location is vital, yours and the enemies. Constant knowledge of where they are and where they should be is very beneficial as it can tell you to engage your enemy laner or just stay away. for example if the jungler started near your lane you know they could lvl 2 gank for a cheese so ward early, estimate his clear pathing and you should know that he's on the other side by now. 2, Wave control, learn to manage the wave so that the wave is always near you. This allows the jgler to gank you easier and allows you to be in a better position as the enemy jungler will find it hard to gank you.

  • This is for when you are ahead as there is no way to manage your wave if you are behind. 3, CS. just go to a custom game and CS for hours. 12-15 cs is like a kill. if you are 10 cs behind your laner you are already a kill behind. 4, Map awareness + river skirmishes. Your jungler NEEDS you. if you arent watching the map and seeing where he is you can't help him when he needs help. Be aware of what your teammates are doing. If the jungler goes in for a invade just stay near the river incase he needs you to help/escape. 5, Do not rely on your teamates. This might be a top lane thing, and I am a bit of a selfish player. Unless you are duo queing and YOU KNOW for 100% that guy can help you win, just take all the kills. Don't expect the jgler to gank. Don't expect your teammate to block a skill shot for you. Just do everything that you can yourself 6, learn how to use your lead, if you are ahead, dont waste it by wasting your time. Nothing is worse than a laner doing nothing with their obvious lead. If you are a Darius that is 6/2 and obviously can fight 2 guys, split push a side lane and buy time for your teammates so they can farm or force a 3v4 7, don't play if you are tilted. just play aram if you are on a 2 lose streak. have fun, don't play when you dont know what you are doing because you are so tilted.

Even though all this is said, some games are just unwinnable, however, you can increase the chances of winning by working on your own individual skill to dominate your lane.

oh you muted allied chat. your welcome. and yes the game is rng lol, the hardest part of it is accepting that there will be games that were simply autolosses. suddenly there is no more rage, no more tilt, and you can now actually go about closing the games that were autowins. suddenly GOLD item 3460

I can't tell season 8 & 9 silver players from low plat players anymore. Shit all blends together and people die so damn fast it's like ... wtf idk lol.

Congrats. I mean the reality is gold 4 is now basically old silver 1... but that's not your fault Riot intentionally or unintentionally changed rank distributions. But hey.... I am chilling in gold 1 and hoping to hit "plat" soon. Deep down I know plat 4 is really like old gold 2 but fuck it... if I hit it I will still say I am plat because like you it's not my fault Riot changed their shit. Plus honestly... I think I could hit top 10% this season.... although my win rate says otherwise. 51%... its a slow process lol
