In the 'Removed From the Game Forever' folder along with Zhonya's Ring for more or less exactly the same reason.

D, and here's an actual reasoning (not the idiotic f is for flash bs):

Assuming your fingers are on QWE to play the game the distance between those 3 keys and D is shorter than between them and F.

That is exactly the same reason I use it on D. In a panic, D is closer than F and easier to press.

Actually, most masters+ players have it on F I believe. According to data.

There's a regional difference if I remember correctly. NA high elo prefers it on F while EU and Korea have it on D.

I'd have to look it up though, not sure if I got the regions assigned right.

EDIT: I was semi wrong. NA masters actually prefer it on D, while generally speaking NA, OCE and KR are the only regions that favor Flash on F. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/page/keybind-wars-which-key-best-flash

Imo the difference is too small. It doesn't matter. But for things such as centering on you, space bar is better than, say, control.

Many keyboards have an accent on the bottom of the F key, which makes it easier to be sure you hit F and don't mash the wrong key. In practice this is more important than the possible time save of a slight fraction of a second you get for flash on D.

Also as a jungler I actually want my fastest possible reaction on Smite, not flash anyway.

The thing about the accent is that you usually don't even feel it. You'd have to actually try and feel it to recognize it even being there.

The jungler response I can respect though.

Out of the game, something is wrong if there is like 8 spells in the game but 1 is mandatory.

if i run a summoner that affects me ( summoner 7 summoner 1 summoner 21 ) i will run flash on F however, if it affects the enemy ( summoner 3 summoner 14 summoner 11 ) i will run it on D
