Lack of Orange Essence - many shards, but no way to redeem them [SUGGESTION]

I somehow managed to gather something around 7 boxes so far (with 8th not opened yet) (including the promotion box) and noticed that I have redeemed only two contents, one of which was redeemed thanks to the promotion box. I had nearly no Orange Essence to redeem those shards, with only one box out of the 6 non-promotional dropping a little OE. So excluding the promotion one (still having a little OE left), I have redeemed only one content out of 6 (two contents because I have rerolled, even though not so glad, three of those).

Now I know that Riot didn't intend to give all that free and wanted to earn something, which is why I feel encouraged to buy the paid Hextech Chests only to get the OE bonus, but feeling like you have to open 2-3 chests, with one/two of those only to disenchant them, in order to finally unlock THE ONE, is weird.

My suggestion would be to make OE dropping guaranteed per chest or nearly guaranteed per chest with the amount of OE dropped much lower. So you still need to open multiple chests to get enough OE, but it doesn't feel like lottery.

NOTE: I don't mean to complain, until recently I had just one chest and I do believe there are a lot of people struggling to get some thinking "Cheese, I'd like to have your problems", also there are people not lucky enough to get so many skins, this is just a suggestion that may as well be simply ignored.
