Dynamic Queue Questions

The new Dynamic Queue is great, but I really don't want to see the enemy locking in. I don't get why I just can't look at my champions and prepare what I want to pick. Is there a specific reason that I cannot view what I own? Also, what happened to ward skin selection? It was a cool feature that was just scrapped without an explanation. Furthermore, what is with the lock in button? I do not think there was anything wrong with the old whatever is last when time runs out is picked/banned, was there?
