Why play Blitzcrank Tank?
Why do most people insist on playing Blitz as a Tank when AP Blitz deals massive damage and there are better tanks than blitz? What is the appeal?

Because there are significantly better damage dealers, you want Blitz to survive to have the most impact in fights and AP will make him as soft as melted bronze.
He has decent peel with Q and E. Plus Blitz pulls people into him, it behooves any champ that engages into melee range to be at least a little tanky, Blitz just gets more out of it since his CC can't be stopped by tenacity.
Probably because he's a support character and needs to build support items for his team. There's 4 other champions on his team that does damage already, and for player's who do build full ap blitz as support are most likely hardstuck silver 5.
When people group, you cant really just front line and threaten a hook if all the enemy team has to do it slap you with one CC and delete you lol
because he is meant to be a tank and if you are pulling enemies to you it isn't so bad to be tanky.
He needs to survive to deal continuous possible CC-chains assuming he racks enough CDR to do so. Also, having to pull a high damage dealer infront of your face with a pathetic 1500+ HP with no mana/HP builds is just suicidal.
Because aftershock is a broken as fuck keystone on all CC-bots.
Although I would always go Tank Blitz in Ranked matches, It is questionable because none of his spells are based off of maximum heath, armor, or MR. Passive= Max mana. Q= AP W= MS+ AS E= 2x Crit basic attack R= AP
He just lacks efficient wave clear and because his kit provides lots of CC and displacement, people pick him as support.
