Supports honestly need a nerf or power redistribution across the board.
Because their itemization is hilariously busted and that is what's warping the meta, not the ADs.
Think about it. Ardent Censer was the same a few months ago and it was a 2nd item, right after Redemption. Then, Coin got buffed, allowing supports to buy Censer while they're still in (or just got out of 3 minutes ago) the laning phase. That's a huge power spike to ADs who need to start scaling immediately, allowing them to bypass most of their weak point.
And you might say, "But the ADs are so strong now they've forced their entire team to build around them." But what are they building? They're tanks building Stoneplate to get the most bang for their buck with Locket, another support item.
Seriously, a lot of tank items are so shitty in so many cases they use support items instead, and they're okay with that. In fact, in many high elo games, they'll be almost guaranteed to follow up their Locket with a Knight's Vow.
So you've got AT LEAST 3 roles that regularly build support items to support the AD, and you're wondering why it became a gigantic right-click fest.
Finally, if that doesn't convince you, consider this; in KR Challenger, a couple people playing late-game ADCs (primarily Twitch and Kog'Maw) build Relic Shield to increase the speed at which their support gets Ardent Censer. That's fucked.
I'm not saying that crit builds don't scale too quickly at the moment, they could probably do with some nerfs, but the real underlying issue is that current support itemization is so broken it eclipses multiple end game items for every person who isn't playing a carry midlaner.
If you want my opinion, reduce that power or shift more of it to a support's kit, because otherwise you're just playing whatever uses Coin Ardent the best (so Lulu or Janna).
