why are people so negative towards discussion of diversity in league ?????

Probably something to do with the 'slippery slope' logic, where it basically means there is a person could look at a piece of toast and then through a series of immediate and internal associations they arrived at the realisation that the world is ending or something.

When you just merely posed an unloaded question about whether League should have more representation of other real-life cultures and whatnot, some people may be immediately slipper-sloping the enquiry as if you're forcing the game into playing into certain identity politcs, even if it may just be a genuine request to ask for more un-generic/un-typical/lesser used theme lineup of character themes.

EDIT: That and also, they may just disagree with it because they don't believe League should have that much to do with real life portrayals of ethnicity given it's a fantasy setting; which is fair. But still there are many under utilised themes that could be used in the future tho.

There have been a lot of people in the past asking for diversity for the wrong reasons, which is partly why I think it receives a lot of negativity. Diversity for the sake of diversity has never been a good thing and always comes across feeling forced, but if it is done in a way that adds to the world of League then it will be perfectly fine.

Why are you so obsessed with the discussion of diversity in league?
