Hey, I am a yorick fan. I can't really call myself a main of him (I honestly just don't think the champion is main-able realistically) but I love him and have actually played a decent amount of him! I have acquired level 5 mastery on him and know the champion fairly well and I have an idea for his rework. I can't really say anything about fixing the champion from where he is now, because I assume he is getting Sion'd and his kit will be entirely scrapped but I had an idea for his game direction.

What if Yorick was turned into a Marksman type champion in a similar way it was attempted with Morde. Now we all know Morde's didn't go to well. Personally I just don't think he was a good candidate and had to many kit issues to begin with. Yorick, however, is a very strong candidate. He functions around his ghouls dealing DPS for him, rather than dealing the damage himself so he wouldn't have the issue of being a weak melee in a ranged lane. So, you could design him to be a DPS champion, focusing on casting ghouls that help him extend his range/deal extra damage.

I just personally think it would be a really cool direction for his kit and I feel like he is a very strong candidate to change up bot lane. I think it's about time meta got shifted up, and, while I don't really think the Morde update was the best for that shift, I think yorick COULD be a really interesting candidate for it.

I love Yorick too and want what is best for him, but the Mordekaiser rework fail is NOT the place to go looking for inspiration for juggernaut reworks. Hopefully, Yorick gets a Gangplank/Shen sized rework, keeps his current positions/roles, and gets to keep some of his identity like his ultimate.

For bot lane diversity, encouraging certain mages like Xerath, Kayle, Teemo, Azir, Ziggs, Kennen, and Cassiopeia to go bot would have a lot better chance of being healthy. Juggernauts should stay primarily in top and jungle, with a few exceptions like Mordekaiser mid, Trundle support, Yorick support.

Bot lane carry is the absolute worst role to try to force a juggernaut into. They can't properly lane in a farming carry role against marksmen, which is why Quinn/Graves/Gnar top is so horrible to play against as a juggernaut. Also, with their track record on Mordekaiser, they'd first kill Yorick's top lane and jungling then end up gutting his bot laning later on anyways. He'd end up as a homeless champion for months. Mordekaiser is still in a bad spot to be honest.
