Duo lane mid new meta?
having your support and adc mid would give you more players to control drag and herald. thoughts?

Herald is honestly irrelevant right now.
You know, some adc's can solo lane and some non-ADC's can duo lane just fine.
ADC and support don't have to be tied at the hip. You get more options with that in mind.
Unlikely. The length of the mid lane makes ganks harder to pull off anyway; and since a mage can clear minion waves and stay relatively safe in the mid lane, the team that put two people mid would actually be at a disadvantage.
It's viable, and honestly might be better, especially if they go though buffing herald's buff. In turn, the sheep will never change the meta on their own, it's going to take high elo players to do it first.
