Can you please balance those champs who are most affected BEFORE removing it?

Kthxbye

That would be Tricky. That would Give them Only one PBE cycle to figure out how badly certain champions are affected by the remove. and Figure about where they want to go from their.

They swore they were not going alphabetical when they Prioritized Annie and Ahri.

It makes more sense to test some changes on the PBE, send some live and tweak accordingly got 5.3 instead of many champs receiving a big nerf during the beginning of the season.

Problem: There's a huge population difference between the PBE and that of the 9 live servers.

They get much more data from live play than PBE. Plus, it's the pre-season, the time they specifically set aside to make huge changes.

Except Riot ignores ALL players equally. We hear the same feedback from PBE that we do from live, so there's a very clear pattern. Yet Riot intentionally blinds themselves from it and forces changes onto us that are unhealthy for both individual aspects, champions and the game as a whole.

You know, people keep saying Riot ignores the players, but I see just as many examples of them listening to us. A lot of the meta shifts are due to players complaining about what's strong in the meta right now, which Riot then nerfs, thus bringing something else in its place, continuing the cycle. That happens far too often to say Riot ignores all players, just because of a handful of specific champions that they haven't changed.

And no, I'm not defending their choice to not change said champions; it's still fucking stupid to leave some champions as they are, or to ignore that players aren't happy with a particular change/rework. But saying that Riot ignores the player base entirely is on the same level of idiocy.

Zed Friendly love taps.

LeeSin No nerfs.

Thresh Pick/ban status, no nerfs.

Ahri Nerfed despite community outcry. Splash art changed regardless of opposition.

Sona Nerfed despite unanimous disapproval on PBE. Nerfed around ~32 times in the span of 6 months. Unrelenting player complaints each time, answered with more nerfs.

Excuse me for using common logic and basic observations to come to the conclusion that the majority of us have.

I don't remember where or when, but I thought they didn't play favorites. Huh, that's funny isn't it?

As long as Riot can still find the will to beat off to CertainlyT champions and Lee Sin in the LCS, they will never see nerfs while their opposition gets destroyed.

Handful of specific cases of Riot being stupid is clearly more data than entire meta shifts.

We're going into patch 5.2. It's not the pre-season anymore...

JustMyBassCannon1 votes

So, what, was 5.1 the only patch of the pre-season? Or was it the last patches of Season 4 that were the pre-season?

Izbiz1 votes

At least they could try with the obvious ones (Veigar).

Also, that's exactly why the PBE exists....

Pika3104 votes

The purpose of PBE's existence is becoming more skewed as time persists. Many changes are unanimously denounced by players, yet get pushed through to live regardless.

PBE is not a testing ground, just a preview show of nerfs to come.

The Public Beta Environment: Where you can complain about the changes (that definitely are going to happen regardless of we say) before they come to the live servers.

It makes a lot more sense to remove it first, and see who is most affected by the loss, then prioritize changes based on that data.

They DONT want those champions to have the power that DFG gave. Buffing them would completely defeat the purpose of getting rid of the item.

They don't want bursts champs to get more bursty. That's why the removed it. However, some champs were clearly merged when they were already not in the greatest spot.

They have to test them internally, test them publicly then release them... so no. It doesn't work like that. They needed to remove the item then the champions changes have to follow after and can't all come at once cause there's a large amount of them

lets not forget the soraka nerf hammer

I agree with OP, removal of atma's hit some champs hard, now they removed DFG, they make champs based on items then Riot removes items champs depend on, a very bad practice

I have no issue with them removing items. But make the compensation buffs WHILE removing the item.

There's no reason that DFG couldn't have been removed for 5.3 when the rest of the compensation buffs were ready.

Why make X number of champs unplayable for 2 weeks considering how long that DFG has been in the game.
