Anivia is a BIRD, why is she so immobile?

I realize this really isn't a balance issue, but I wasn't sure where else to put this thread.

I just think that because Anivia is a bird, her current play style doesn't really... fit... She is one of the most immobile champions and it just feels wrong. I'm not talking about her ability to escape or avoid getting crushed in ganks, becasue all she has to do is place a wall or slow everybody with an ult. I'm talking about the fact that she is a bird, but flies just as slow as a hulking metal suit with a freaking anchor. Just about the only bird-like things about her are her wings and her egg. That's it. Give Anivia some lovin, guys.
