Akali's winrate is 46%... and her best winrate (the win percentage of games played on the champion by summoners with highest elo and best performance this season. Max of 50 summoners used per region with a minimum of diamond V and 50 games played to be eligible.) is a measly 56%. Lets compare this to olaf who has a best winrate of 63.7%. WTF riot. It was absurd in the past when a champion had a best winrate above 60%, now you need to play someone in this special GOD tier if you want to have a good time. There are 32 champions with a best winrate above 60%. Your balancing team is horrible.

I'm fine with Akali being dumpstered until they admit that rework failed colossally and they make Twilight Shroud less broken. You know, make it work like the old one that had counter-play via warding.

Akali

3 different gap closers
3 movement speed buffs
Uses energy
Has stealth
Has wave clear
Has an execute
And finally has a empowered auto for running out of a circle

Akali has a very overloaded kit and I am surprised she has not received more nerfs than she has already received. Saying Akali needs a buff is false. The champion is severely broken in the early game and can out scale other champions with the advantage she gains. Her stealth negates all trades as well. I really think they should rework Akali again because she is the least interactive champ to play against.

on a real note though, shes a monster. there is good reason she has a 42.3% ban rate on Diamond Plus. She reduces the playable champion pool in competitive significantly. No one likes being forced to play safe AOE / CC picks every game.

the only thing i would say keeping her win rate in midlane down is the amount of people who play Ahri, Kass, Malz.

top is only safe because of tanks being a pretty common thing.
