Riot Please Rework Nasus Soon.

I hate having a Nasus on my team. It's not because I think he's underpowered. It's because playing him properly requires forcing your team to 4v5 for the most of the game.

Nasus as we all know is a champion that benefits from farming a lot so he can get stacks and deal tons of damage with his Q while building tank. Because Nasus has a weak early game, most likely you're not going to have perfect farm with him which is why Nasus typically farms early and mid game. Every Nasus player I have in my games does this and I don't blame them.

If they group with their team prematurely, they'll be kited too easily and die before they can deal any damage or they'll deal damage but not enough for all the damage they soaked to get within range to be worth it. I know this champion shines late game but that is only assuming you're team survives long enough for a late game to even exist or that you're team didn't screw up hard enough for the late Nasus to not make a difference, all while you're team is mostly playing a 4v5.

I know Nasus is currently in a balanced state but I just think that having a Nasus on your team is unfun. Compared to all the other champions in the game, he takes the longest to become useful. Plus Nasus is one of the original 40 champions so he has an old kit. Riot please rework him soon.

i freaking smashed a freaking teemo with it, and you sayin he is underpowered?

Even if he is underpowered, he is a late game killing machine

It's also effective against pantheon, Darius ect. In those matchups, id rather get gold by using E then die for stacks.

Why does Nasus need a rework if he is balanced? That's like saying Yorick should be reworked b/c he's a lane pusher just like Nasus. In fact he is even more dependent on minions than Nasus b/c most of his damage come from summoning his own minions to do the bulk of his damage. Nasus tries to make his lane un-interactive for about 10-15 minutes. After that he's in your face or taking objectives. Not every lane has to be an aggressive trade fest trying to get kills. It's better we have champions that excel at different rates with different styles.

As for being 4v5 how are you having full team fights early or mid game like that? Most teams aren't ready to do this until Nasus is pretty well stacked himself. if you are losing small trades and skirmishes maybe you should improve your play and not blame your top lane? I tend to group around 15 minutes. I usually have 200-350 stacks and have taken top tower. I then look to roam and pick up mid tower if still standing, grab dragon/rift herald or bot turret.

A bad Nasus will split when his team needs him and a good one splits when the enemy team is occupied and creates pressure for his team.

Posts like these that lack evidence are purely anecdotal drivel from players who lost to a Nasus or were on a team with a bad one. The other thing is this could be said about any champion who is oppressive or cautious. Champions peak at different rates, times and under different circumstances. Asking for changes b/c it's your opinion of "not fun" doesn't mean changes are needed. Unless you have definitive evidence he is not fulfilling his theme or role then there is nothing to change.

  1. Not all champions need to be unbalanced to get reworked. Ex: Assassins, MYMU, Marksman, etc.
  2. I wish Nasus only needs to farm for 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately because of his weak early game, its unlikely that you're going to have perfect farm.
  3. I'm not saying that every champion has to have an aggressive trade fest trying to get kills. Nasus jut takes too long to start doing something with or for his team.
  4. I never said that I have 4v5 teamfights early game. I agree with you in that it's smart for teams with a Nasus to be cautious until a Nasus is well stacked but it just takes a while for a Nasus to get well stacked.
  5. I never said I lose small trades and skirmishes and this game is a teamgame. if i have a teammate who barely feels like they are there, then that is a huge disadvantage.
  6. Oh man I wish Nasus players do group by 15 minutes like you do.
  7. When something is unfun, there's never evidence of it. Just like when people complain that Yasuo is unfun to play against, they don't have proof. You can't measure how unfun a champion is. I never said I lost games because of bad Nasuses (or whatever the plural form is).

These are still superlatives points. Nasus fits his theme and his play style as juggernaut is perfect. For me he is fun to play that is my opinion yes but I also know that most people find the champion fair to face and fight against as he has clearly defined points of power and weakness.

In reality I only need around 300 to 400 stacks per game. If that is too weak to make something happen chances are your team is too far behind and even with more stacks you would never accomplish anything. This is the blight of any juggernaut or team who get's behind. If anything it is more punishing to champions who need to thrive on kills something Nasus does not suffer from.

Split pushing in general is not a viable tactic without TP up. Not sure what elo you are in but as a Nasus player I just hit gold in less than 40 games. If you look at my match history I have more asst than kills meaning I group and help with objectives. Also you can see I typically take the most objectives in towers and inhibs per game as well. This is not form splitting but grouping and having my team protect me while I kill the enemy teams towers. I wither easy targets and let my adc's eat them alive.

Nasus is perfect at his job. A change would ruin his identity and take away one of the few epic late game melee fighters in the game. I am truly sorry that you've had bad Nasus players but despite what people think or say he is not easy to play. He has to be more cautious and skilled in nearly every match up b/c his early game is so bad. It takes hundreds of games against many different opponents to understand how best to play him well and effectively. He demands a high amount of skill and map awareness to utilize properly. Is he going to TP gank bot in the first 10 minutes? No and you should not expect that. Will he destroy objectives and peel for you after 10 minutes? Yes and you should absolutely support him in this endeavor.

Edit: I am not making it out to sound like I am the best Nasus ever and I am sorry if I was making assumptions about your post. I am a bit jaded against people who think Nasus is OP or needs to be changed. He's well balanced and if every champ were as balanced as him we would have greater diversity in team comps instead of the same champions in almost every game. I'd be happy to play some games together and show you we are not all terrible farm simulators with no intention of helping the team. ;)

Thanks for your intelligent responses. I respectfully decline your offer because my point was never about Nasus's state of balance. I do have games where I win with a Nasus on my team. I do believe you when you say that you can do well playing a Nasus. Playing with you will prove nothing unless you get a crappy early game and end up farming for a while.

I would like to see Nasus get a minor nerf, where he does not get stacks from non-minions/monsters, such as Heimer Turrets, Wards, Illaoi Tentacles... Etc.
