Is Riot sometimes oblivious to things?

Now as a preface, everyone at Riot is an extremely smart individual, obviously.

But don't you think that sometimes the community just knows better some of the time when it comes to new changes to items and champions. Like Protobelt, everyone said it was going to be too strong, and now it is. Let's talk about the Ryze before he was reworked this last time. Everyone on the PBE and YouTube who were making videos weeks before he was implemented in the game was saying he was broken and showing how broken he was and making videos on why he needs to not be released, but Riot did nothing about it. Yeah they probably did some more tweaking but how does someone let that slip by? I'm not saying Riot is incompetent, I just feel as though they should listen to what their community has to say more, because, sometimes, we know best.

Because the community is great at making terrible calls as well. Stuff like PBE players aren't really reliable either, because PBE has terrible matchmaking, so it's easy to make a champion look OP when it's really just a difference in skill.

Furthermore, the community doesn't always agree. One moment, half the community will be complaining about something, and when a change goes through the other half will start complaining. It's like when people complained that tanks did too much damage while being almost invulnerable, and after some items and champions got nerfed, other people started complaining, and claimed that the tank meta was the healthiest one in the game so far (no pun intended).

Being smart and having common sense are two different types of intelligence.

Smart people are dumb AF when it comes to basic everyday life.

I'll side with the person that excels in common sense first time everytime.

They don't have that at RIOT as evidenced by the horrible matchmaking algorithm. That is pretty much the only problem I have with this game though. It's a biggie though. It creates more toxicity then the plethora of casual trash that invades the servers I think.
