[WOAH THIS IS CRAZY] Idea for Annie ultimate balancing.

Simply put, I believe Annie's ultimate is way too instantaneous for how much power it can have. It can be an AOE stun with crazy damage and afterwards it turns into fuggin crazy a$$ bear that runs at you burning you every second.

Calypsa's great fix: Give her ultimate a delayed cast/casting time. Maybe Annie could throw her bear up in the air first and then Tibbers explodes down after half a second. This would give players at least a chance to dodge, flash, do ANYTHING against an Annie's ult... I just don't see any counterplay to it. Don't get close? Buy banshees? Sometimes getting close is just necessary, especially since her range is pretty much the range of most mid lane mages. And banshee's isn't going to help during the first half hour of the game cause that'd be stupid to buy until like your third or fourth item. You could just stack crazy MR, but everyone knows that if you get MR you sacrifice damage. I shouldn't have to choose between surviving and actually getting a kill just because Annie has a bullshit ultimate.

Imo she wouldn't be a viable pick with a cast time on it. Instead we should have an indicator that her ultimate is available. Like when her ult is on Cool down then she shouldn't have the tibbers stuffed animal in her hands. And when her ult is ready she should be carrying tibbers around.

they deem it necessary to counter the mobility creep so instead of doing something about mobility they will give her a ult with no counter play.

The same thing was pitched before. Riot wants her to keep the lack of counterplay ult stun... lol I recall them saying something like that, without directly saying lack of counterplay of course.

There's 2 things important here. 1st: this idea has been around in some shape or form for AGES, and Riot straight up won't do it, because shes somewhat compensated by reliance on the passive for the stun (otherwise is just a butt-load of damage and a really scary bear), and also because 2nd: with the amount of mobility in the game, instant CC is unfortunately a necessity. Now since Annie is already partly thematic with her instant Bear-flop, she may as well be one of the few.

So basically the short of this is, in a game where potentially mass-mobility is fine/has sufficient counters that are readily available to anyone/everyone, this idea COULD be implemented in some way or form. Until such time, Annie's ult is like to stay as is.
