Please fix this, Riot. Players don't deserve to fall further into the pits of elo hell because of losers that AFK.

If the player never connected, then you could've remade and it would be all gucci
But if he dced later on, that sucks and needs to be addressed.
Looks to me like you guys didn't push your advantage when you should have. When you kill all/a majority of them, dont back. Take towers and inhibitors. Instead of drag, take mid tower. Instead of contesting an unlikely early baron, push bot tower. Make them go across the map to stop a minion wave.
Just because you had an AFK doesnt mean your entire team wasnt fed. You threw hard.
