About ARAM nurfs

Why sona is by far the most overwhelminghly nurfed champ in aram? Xerath has only 5% dmg down and kaisa has 15% !!!!!!!!! more dmg... Does any1 know why is that?

The gap between sona and most of the roster is so high that even after all the nerfs she's still one of the highest winrates. The initial massive nerf lowered her to 57%.

(Winrate) Currently the highest winrate is Sona's at a 62.7%, the next being lux at a 57.8% win rate. while xeraths being a 51%.

However. lets not take just winrate. however it should be a good factor. I personally find sona still in a good state, but since its aram, if you find her weak, perhaps pass her up. show the aram balance team that its not as good. (PickRate) her pick rate just shows she a popular pick and still a high winrate. Sona's being a 9.3% pickrate while xeraths being a 8.1%

So my take on this. What ever sona nerfs they hit her with, I think she'll be pretty fine. Maybe they could find something to fine tune about her so that she is balanced. but atm. we'll just need to wait on that.

**(15% damage reduction on ranged abilities- excluding ults) ** And another factor is the range nerf, which if you hit a champion in aram with large range abilities they'll have a reduced damage of 15%. So ziggs and Xerath are hit with this.

Because she is still the top winrate champion in ARAM even through her nerfs.

It's not like those are doing anything either, someone able to damage an entire team on a lane with a button press, heal her team with another, cause speed boost for allies and slow for enemy with yet another one and finally stun the entire lane with the last one will always be waaay overpowered for ARAM where she can do this for virtually forever.

Nerfs are also slightly based on popularity/simplicity of the champions. Since Sona is a cheap and popular champion with a kit that literally anyone can use efficiently, its normal for her to receive more nerfs than some other more complicated options. But yeah Xerath is one of the few examples of some kind of favoritism I believe, he clearly deserves more nerfs, and thats coming from someone who enjoy playing him in ARAM.
