Why have I been in queue for 45 minutes?

I'm on my alternate account (don't really enjoy the game in its current state so grinding while I wait for change) and I've been in queue for 45 minutes straight now. I'm level 15 so I imagine there aren't an obscene amount of people to match me with, but I don't care who I have to play with, 45 minutes is flat out unacceptable for a normal game. Is this a bug right now or is the new system actually just taking forever for all new (and alt) players?

I figured it would be, but I also decided that waiting (what I thought would be 10 minutes max) would be worth it over dealing with the immediate spamming of "Mid mid mid mid mid mid or feed, fine guess I'm feeding".

Update: refreshed the queue earlier. Total time still over an hour.

And we're over an hour and a half. Unacceptable. please look into the issue. I'll be back on my main until then I guess.
