There are a bunch of supports that I want to master, but have no idea who to start with. I just want to see who everyone says is their favorite support to have on their team so I know who to master first. I personally prefer Blitzcrank or Thresh, but I have met many people who don't like either of them.

Albeit there can be some CRAZY off-meta "supports" that just become "meta" after a pro or someone really good proves how good it can be.
Something I've seen work surprisingly well:

Sure, it's more efficient, but if you already have Yasuo "support" then other off-meta strats shouldn't be off the table, right? ;~;

Its just that with a Kalista Markswoman with Yasuo "Support" combo its for the absurd synergy of getting two ultimate's off in quick succession allowing Kalista to get free Rend stacks on them while the target (or targets with 
) is suspended for some serious air time from the initial Kalista ult and Yasuo follow up ult allowing for her to get lots of Rend stacks for the kill once they land.

But if I'm the one to play support, then Morgana is my favourite. I also really like Annie, Alistar, Tahm and Braum.

I despise having a Thresh/Blitz support. Mostly just bias but they do not match my playstyle at all.
disregardable1 votesIf the player is highly skilled, I'd rather have Alistar. He's the perfect combination between Thresh and Blitzcrank. Unlike Thresh, he can actually tank, and unlike Blitzcrank, he can actually peel, but like both of them he can make some great plays.
But if I were dealing with a new player, an inexperienced support, Janna is the way to go. She's very simple, little more to do than just press the buttons, and it's generally hard to mess up with her. You can go aggressive or passive and be fine either way.

But if I'm ever not the support, I would actually enjoy having a Bard. Playerbase actually consist of cool people, very underrated, has one of the best peels, and he actually KNOWS he has a team to babysit instead of just his ADC.
So you have Annie, Sona, and Shen, but not Bard or Lulu? What...
