Why Yasuo needs to be shot in the gut with a nerf gun

Chad Te Employee··8 votes·1,246 views

He's still strong, too strong. He has an annoying kit with low cooldown ult, low cooldown q,e. He outputs to much damage and doesn't have a resource bar.

I am a mastery 5 yasuo player with 2 tokens of mastery 6 and the reason why I want this gut is because I would still play him, I know other people would still play him due to his kit. His nerf should look like this

  • Less armor pen on ult, (maybe go 25/30/35%) and an increase in cooldown.
  • Windwall has a higher cooldown and can be broken by 2,2,3,3,4 projectiles.
  • E does 75% damage to minions.
  • his Q scales with 90% of his ad, but applies 80% (the full amount) of crit damage.
  • His base critical strikes deal 80% damage instead of 90.

Explanation: To be honest the armor pen nerf could be without alongside the E dealing 75% damage to minions, I just don't want to seem to light on my boi Yasuo The higher cooldown has to be in placed no matter what even if they don't gut him, you kill an enemy in lane and by the time they are back you have it again. The most annoying part about wind wall (IMO) isn't the barrier in which you cannot shoot through its the annoyingness that you are tying to engage/kill yas and BOOP that windwall pops out. With the nerf it still is annoying, but now it can't be used as a literal friggin wall that's half the size of a lane for it's duration. The whole point of the 90% scaling is that it isn't an empowered auto that you get every 1.33 seconds mid/late game that also knocks up when you have hit 2 in a certain duration. It still does retain it's annoyingness, but let's do some math. According to champion.gg this is assassins yas most common build. item 3046 item 3031 item 3006 item 3072 item 3156 item 3026 that's 200 bonus ad from items. Yasuo has approx. 110 ad at level 18 doing math its 310 ad. Now with MY critical strike bonus Yasuo's auto's are applying 558 damage ignoring damage reduction. Yasuo's q is applying 700 damage. Add 35% damage reduction with armor and the AA deals 362 while the Q applies 455. So 3 times out of 4 seconds yasuo applies another 100 damage so he still doesn't do nothing. His base crit makes it so double crit isn't ridiculous (as much)

I know for a fact if yasuo was as good as urgot is now I'd still play for the sole reason of low cooldown spam on 2 abilities. i love dashing around and knocking people up, but on the receiving end when he chunks your health and your minions are behind him you just wanna cry and scream. These nerfs havent touched that spam so hey, yasuo outplays will look even cooler AND bruiser yas will be gone AND no more fervor abuse (warlord's for sustain probably)

You are a mastery 5 yasuo player in bronze 4. I'd like to start this post by saying CONGRATULATIONS! Complaining about him needing nerfed is like getting ww ulted, dying and saying he is broken. WW is a useless champion, yasuo is an extreme high risk high reward champion who requires a lot of skill to master. If you are "mastery 5" yasuo i'd assume when you feed like crazy on him there is a reason. Because everything about his kit is all in. You either get super fed or feed super hard. He's hard to play, i wouldnt recommend him in bronze. He is balanced because of his high risk and tendency to go full retard dash through minions and then ganked immediately after with no escape. Don't complain when just like tryndamere, one cc will ruin yasuo's day. Get gud kid.

Using my rank as a justification in why I'm wrong completely ruins your agrument

Actually it doesn't.

I'm usually the first to tell that elo doesn't make some1's argument less valid but this applies to the knowledge of the game and ability to understand game balance.

If you say that you are a rather awesome Yasuo player that means you can execute this character good and he is a heavy carrying machine in the hands of yasuo masters. yet you end up in a ranked tier where I've never stepped even in my lowest moments while I play usually out of meta picks (Aurelion Sol, Xerath, Morde, time to time Yasuo and Varus). this means you are not really that good and basing your perception of the champion in "how much you own" doesn't make your argument valid.

not really, you aren't playing against people who know how to play against Yasuo. That's like saying that Trynd is broken and yet he is pretty much only a pubstomper that struggles to accomplish anything the higher up you go in rank. Yasuo is annoying to deal with not strong, please learn the difference between them

Uh oh... he asked for a yas nerf. (Take cover the blind yas followers are raining down on us!)

In all reality though he's in a just fine spot. The only thing that really needs to change IS his windwall, atleast code it so it stops blocking side attacks.

So let's take this in a new direction for a moment. How, exactly, does one play against Yas? Windwall shuts down every ranged champion in the game (i.e. every mage), dash makes it very difficult for a melee to roll up and start pounding on him.

Only thing I can see is a skillshot stun like Blitzcrank Nami 's Q and then have someone else there to help.

I mean, it's easy enough. Poke him down till he windwall a something.

Then all in

Rinse and repeat

Ok so the armor pen just got a nerf for tank yasuo, also don't complain about an AD move with a 30 second CD that I need to facecheck the enemy team to use. While Lux can oneshot people from outside their vision on a 20 second CD

Windwall is a COMPLETELY USELESS ABILITY is certain matchups. That is why it is balenced, you locking in Ezreal against Yasuo doesn't make that nerf justified. If this nerf does go through, they would need to buff it's CD because a good amount of characters can break a level 1 wall in under a second in this nerf.

E dealing less damage to minions honestly wouldn't change the fact you get salty whenever you lose to him. His Q scales with 90% of crit correct? (I may be wrong here) so making it deal 90% of 90% is just stupid.

Why should he deal even more less crit damage, this would make Tank yasuo EVEN MORE BROKEN, and make it so he is outdamaged by every other crit user (Tryndamere, Twitch)

You what

I've never seen lux use 1 ability and kill a fullhealth champion

One shot also refers to a champions combo. In Lux's case, QRE

Tbh i think windwall should be his ult

No offense m8, but mastery 5 is nothing.

Hell, go onto the YasuoMains subreddit....

I'd have 6 and 7 but I can't afford blue essence

What I meant to convey was that mastery ranks are no real big deal. It's the exp and rank and winrate that matters.

I'm almost at 300k and Am probably still only slightly better than your average yasuo player

Yasuo is brokenly overpowered and faceroll easy to play.

He has been in dire need of hard-nerfs since his release.

I don't think Yasuo is strong enough right now that he needs super significant nerfs

If Yasuo gets any changes now, I'd rather Riot take a look at changing his core laning patterns to make him not so annoying to play against. Lots of people complain about Wind Wall, but my big issue with his laning comes from his ability to completely dictate the terms of every fight in lane through his E. For a supposedly high risk champion, that significantly reduces the risk he has, whIle also giving him the opportunity to simply win lanes by attrition
