I'm a Kass player and I want those changes to go in [LONG RANT]
And you might ask "Why do you want these changes to go in? Do you really believe a 15mana reduction on his ult is worth lowering it's range so much?" And the answer would simply be no. But what we have seen time and time again is that the balance team has** NO IDEA** how they want to balance Kassadin and the last changes that they made were aimed at his Damage. The rework brought his damage down by a TON but I still thought it was a good rework nonetheless, as you had different options, we saw some new cool builds and he actually seemed more fun to play, when you actually went into melee range to burst someone with Lichbane it felt rewarding because of his new W. And yet we saw his damage decline time and time again after numerous nerfs.
Let me just remind you that when you take base damage, AP scaling and CD into consideration, I'd go as far as to say
has the worst damage out of all mages, and ad casters that frequent the midlane. He also has some of the worst CD to Damage ratios with his skills having a really big downtime(QW long cd,E having to stack,R having to wait to lose the stacks).
The problem with his damage was never the numbers, his numbers after the rework were ALWAYS crappy
HOWEVER
His damage is very reliable and has additonal effects pinned to the skills. -His Q is a targeted skill and also gives you an AP shield -His W regenerates mana and gives you additonal ap scaling on your AAs -his E has a slow and is a wide, easy to hit cone
the ONLY problematic and out of whack component was his ult which had it's cd LOWERED after the rework but essentially does damage only in the early game and lategame is used only for mobility and Lichbane procs as it scales with mana and scales very badly
and yet time and time again the balance team nerfed his damage and then his shield and then his slow
NOW FINALLY they take a look at his ult
And you know what? I want that god awfull ult change to go in BECAUSE it will make Kassadin garbage BECAUSE MAYBE THEN they'll figure HUH WE MIGHT HAVE MADE A MISTAKE
