Just a bit confused about it is all, I would think with all her mobility and flash charm plays she would be highly played due to play potential which Riot loves at Worlds as you can see with Lee Sin and such. Just a bit curious, she doesn't seem weak at all.

Riot doesn't decide who players play at Worlds lol.

flashy plays sell, so they make champions who have flashy plays strong around lcs time

Orinne1 votesNot safe enough. Burst comes out much slower compared to Syndra, Viktor, etc. and her CC is minion blocked. Forcing her ult to make her escape also drastically reduces her ability to kill when it's on cd.
ValyrianBlade1 votesMostly because Syndra is one of the strongest mid laners right now, and is a hard matchup for Ahri. So picked Ahri with Syndra open is too risky.
I think Ahri also isn't particularly strong against Ryze or A.Sol, but I could be wrong there. I personally like the A.Sol matchup but I don't think it's supposed to be heavily favored for Ahri.
Then there's the big problem that Ahri does a lot of things well, but nothing great. Her damage is too low to solo carry if she gets fed. Her CC is too low to be a huge utility if behind. Her AOE is too low to wreck teamfights in closed quarters. She's a jack-of-all-trades yet master-of-none, so she doesn't fit with many specific worlds comps.

Doesn't do that good of a job at it when everyone is tanky and everyone bursts an entire team.
