Im very dissapointed about Ekkos ult

In the ekko trailer we clearly saw that when ekko went back in time everything would be reset to a certain point however he would still retain all the damage he'd taken during the fight.

Instead of being creative and literally making it so he could turn back time a couple second we got a cheesy Zed shadow cope out.

Have you considered that being able to wind back time was not feasible, nor would it have been balanced in any way?

...He heals for 100/150/200 + 20/25/30% (and a AP ratio on the %, but thats not shown yet so ignoring it) of the damage he took. If you did more than 100/150/200 damage he isn't healing all the damage he took.

"Er mah gerd, Rito didn't faithfully recreate the video situation for their new champ!"

Yeah, because the balance implications are totally fucked.

As awesome as it would be to have a Prince of Persia playstyle, it's not something that a MOBA engine can handle or balance easily.

Yeah, it's dumb.

And no, I don't need to add any further elaboration, I think it's dumb that it doesn't even fit with what we were shown at all.

I think that the implementation we would all want cannot work.

If it reset time without resetting cooldowns to their previous positions, everybody would hate him for making them waste all of their good abilities before he ulted.

If it reset time with cooldowns, a team of Ekko v. Ekko could be caught in an infinite loop of ults.

No good way to go about it.

It's a fair compromise. Actually turning back time is kind of ridiculous and not exactly able to be balanced properly. Plus, he'd just be permabanned in every competitive game anyways.

As I predicted, they copied the ultimate of Chronos from Smite.

So what you're saying is... you always believe what people tell you?

Just remember one thing:

IMAGINE HOW MUCH CODE LINE THEY WILL NEED TO PUT FOR A SIMPLE ULT!!! summoner 3

thats my point :)

I'm disappointed too.

LIke, the ability looks cool and all, but I was expecting it to be some kind of ability to rewind his cooldowns to give him a second chance in a fight, but instead we get mobility and damage. Rito said he's an utility assassin, but...

Hell, I'd love it to rewind time for every champion caught up, cooldowns and position included. Would've lead to amazing combos with Bard of all champions.

i like it. because its not as broken as what we'd all like to see. I mean cmon turning back time... literally negating whatever good play the enemy team did to you. And its not like you can just ignore him until he's done using it. Itd be like having a zilean ult on and doing whatever you please knowing you can just reset yourself.

I mean its hard not to borrow from other champions in some fashion. if he were to rewind his cooldowns itd be like zilean. whats important is how it all congeals together to form a fun gameplay experience which we can yet to comment on until we play him.
