Played against a Leblanc

I alt f4'd. Won't touch the game for at least a couple days now. Why do champions like this exist? Obviously I'm going to get downvoted into oblivion. Still... frustrated beyond words. I'd like to see a red post someday that tries to explain why they make/keep champs that sooo many people absolutely hate. Leblanc absolutely shits on player experience. There is no denying it.

Your problem is that you're in the forums complaining about her instead of first asking others for advice on how to beat her. Since I'm so nice and experienced, I'll teach you the secrets to beating Leblanc 100-0.

First, understand her weaknesses.

  1. Poor wave clear
  2. Mana hungry
  3. Combo champion (yes it's a weakness compared to point and click burst)
  4. Predictable

How to capitalize on these weaknesses:

  1. Shove lane. When she goes for Q-W, she'll lose the trade if you account for the minion damage she took if you traded properly.

  2. Shove shove shove and wait for her to deplete her mana or out sustain her. She'll back when she's empty.

  3. This is the most important part. Displace her W to avoid all of her damage potential. As soon as she throws her Q, knock her back, up, sideways, whatever your champion has to stop the dash. I main Azir so I perfectly time my E when she's flying towards me and stop her. This requires skill though, however stopping her W guarantees a kill.

  4. You KNOW she's going for a Q first, which is a short range target ability. What do you do when Ryze or Annie with a stun ready approach you? You move back because you know what they're trying to do. It's obvious. So either bait the Q-W or move back. She's easier to predict when you shove the lane. If she tanks minion damage desperately to Q you, move back and let her die slowly or until she's low enough for you to win the all-in.

Hope that helps you.

Leblanc is a feast or famine champion, like Yasuo. She's actually quite balanced, because you can counterpick her fairly easily.

Just play Fizz, who is also a feast or famine champion, but without the famine.

I do understand your frustration. Unless you have a set full of MR quints and runes there a pretty good chance if you are ever beneath 90% of your health. It's frustrating since you're able to counterbuild - barely to counterplay.

However, Blanc is still a better opponent than Zed. At least you can shove against her and her mana is limited. Not to mention that she looses something for building Mpen since there's no Brutalizer for mages...

She has high bursting potential at early game, but falls off late game. she also has not reliable cc, except her chains, wich are hard to hit if you're not going to use w to position yourself to hit the e. She also lacks of wave clear at early game, so she depends on farming off champions. Though, she's only strong if she's laning against immobile champions. As someone who plays leblanc relatively often, i have trouble with mobile champs like katarina and fizz. (I know you didn't asked for counters or so, but I just wanted to tell how i feel about it :P)

I deny it. But thats because I look beyond myself. I go "Ok, theres a Leblanc. My lane is going to suck. But ya know what? As long as I'm not stupid and don't feed her, she'll be a non-entity come late game."

This seems pretty simple to me.

LeB is mechanically undertuned. Not just a little bit undertuned, but majorly undertuned. Or in other words, she is under-powered (as opposed to over powered). The reason she is undertuned is because she ate some VERY heavy-handed nerfs due to her kit being one of the most non-interactive kits in the game. Playing against her is frustrating at best. At worst she's nightmarishly oppressive in lane, far worse than Karma is.

Or, in other words, she's 'broken'.

Broken in the sense that she breaks the design values that League has been trying to set up over the past few years and thus has a kit that can't be buffed, only reworked.

She's a pretty common pick still over in high level Dominion play. The loss of Silence made it possible to actually retort against her damage if you have enough targeted CC, but given that Riot is really keen on crushing targeted CC every chance they get, it leaves options limited.

Pairing her up with AP Shaco is just the worst thing.

The worst.

Try laning against her when you were silenced everytime she jumped on you.. now that was as broken and toxic as could possibly be. Now she's strong but not nearly as OP. You can react to her and outplay her now so I think she's pretty balanced.

A champ shouldn't be called balanced because they are countered by 1-2 others in their class (assassin VS assassin). Fizz is the anti-assassin assassin, and he does really well against every assassin. I agree LB needs to get looked at, maybe reducing the snare duration and range would make her a more risk/reword champ and instead of a "lets spam Q-R-W-E and see if he dies. and if he doesn't just pop back to your W. easy.

Fix LeBlanc's chain and she will be good to go.

HyperZEROXL1/3/2015, 4:28:43 PM1 votes

Leblanc can be VERY frustrating to lane against, it's just her combo that's the killer. But every assassin's weakness is...CC! But I agree with a LOT of AP mids going top right now.

Not really, it seems like a real problem because that is your emotions speaking and not an actual objective view point/ Leblanc is perfectly fine and pretty balanced. Quit your complaining, because that really is all that it amounts to, a complaint. You said it yourself, you do quite well against her, which completely contradicts your statements. You've not offered anything besides stating she is horribly designed. How is she horribly designed? You don't lose against her often, but she's a real problem? That makes no sense. A character that is overwhelming is a true problem in all stages of the game, not your personal affairs.

If you people keep defending horribly designed champions, they will just make more.
