Can we have an option to mute the pings of somebody?

Right now, a lot of people are misusing the "missing enemies" ping to cause grief on their team, and more than once it turned out that these people did nothing useful with their pings for the remainder of the game. I understand the value of signals and warning calls, but some people do not - and that makes concentrating really hard when your jerk next door thinks he's doing anyone a favor by simulating a furious heart attack with his keyboard and mouse.

I understand Riot's doubts about shutting off communication just to block out toxicity, but sometimes it's really the best thing anyone can do when one of your teammates solely uses the communication available to him to upset and provoke his teammates.

I don't think muting somebody should also mute their pings - it should be a separate mute option. Some people (as rude and toxic as they can be) KNOW how to use pings effectively and will probably make an effort to help their team because they still care about winning, so completely shutting off somebody shouldn't be the option either.

Let me know what you think! Maybe I just overreact a little, but I think I'm not the only one who doesn't want to see 50 question marks popping up underneath them everytime something happens that a teammate doesn't like.
