Syndra Counter

Just a question about countering syndra. I noticed that in many proplay games that whenever someone picks Syndra, the other team picks Leblanc against her. Is leblanc a counter to her or what?

Honestly I pick Syndra into a LeBlanc matchup I find it really easy to beat her but myself and the people I play against are nowhere near the level of professional play.

Syndra is a bit like Fiora in terms of skill ceiling, they can both be played well with little effort but a Syndra player who knows what they're doing can be virtually unstoppable.

Worst matchups I've found as Syndra include Akali Fizz and Zed. People who can avoid her stun either by abilities or items that are core to them item 3102 will beat her.

A lot of Syndra's power is in her ultimate but in truth a great deal of it is in her Q E stun combo and how fast she can do it so if you an dodge this you'll do relatively well against Syndra

so if the leblanc dodges the q and e combo then syndra is fukked right?

No. LeBlanc in this scenario has dodged a great deal of damage but can still be killed. Leblanc should dodge the stun with her W. Land her chain, reactivate W to Dodge Syndra's own W or Q let her chain proc then finish her off with her other abilities

item 3194 item 3102 item 3157 works good against her other than that she has no real counterplay

She's a squishy, immobile control mage with dodge able abilities.

That's why mobile assassin's like LeBlanc are good against her. Zed would also be a good choice.

they pick lb because lb routinely starts the fight on her terms and can surprise burst her over a wall or theres a good 50-50 she blows her ult on nothing. everyone else is kind of like a stat check.

used to be galio, could face tank syndra hard.

now your best bets are kassadin and fizz who build item 3102 , then they're really good against her.

IMO syndras biggest threat is something that builds hp/mr and can actually take the full combo and shrug it off like its nothing, a full build swain or vlad could but not early.
