Would there be any scenario where Kalista would actually accept a team with Thresh and fight for Shadow Isles? If Shadow isles was in theory ever threatened?

Has Thresh betrayed anyone? He's pretty up-front about his evil intentions, so there's no reason for Kalista to hate him. Thresh was not responsible for the Ruination; he's as much a victim as Kalista.

Then again, Kalista has in-game quotes for an enemy Karthus, expressing dislike, even though Karthus hasn't betrayd anyone we know of either. So Kalista isn't best buddies with the other Shadow Islanders.

Unlike Yorick, Kalista does not express any desire to cleanse the Isles and pass on. So if the Isles were threatened, she would probably fight back.

So in short, I think she would fight alongside Thresh in extreme circumstances. But she wouldn't be happy with it.

I mean, don't you really expect betray from the most evil champion of lore? He is exteremely sadistic, for both physical and mental. I am pretty sure fucking up with someone's emotions and destroying his/her life are also fun for him.

For Thresh to betray someone, someone would have needed to trust him in the first place. Who would trust a glowing wraith with a screaming lantern and a coat made out of bones? Thresh absolutely loves reducing his victims to a weeping wreck before reaping them, I just don't think pure betrayal is really his thing.

But I just thought of another reason... When someone pledges their soul to the Spear of Vengeance (living or dead), their soul becomes part of the hive, and Kalista hunts those who betrayed them in the first place. But Thresh traps the souls of those he slays, meaning that even if he did betray someone, Kalista would not learn of it.

I was talking about human Thresh. In the end, when Hecarim has betrayed, he wasn't transformed either, though he is still hunted by Kalista. So this logic works for Thresh too.

If human Thresh betrayed anyone, it would have been before the Spear of Vengeance was born.

Hecarim personally betrayed Kalista, and played a signficant role in the Ruination. Thresh was just chilling in his underground workshop, and then one day woke up dead.

Yes but ''Death to the all betrayers'' doesn't sound like she would work with a past-life betrayer. A betrayer is still betrayer and I'm pretty sure if she figures out Thresh is also betrayer, she would swear on kicking his butt. But if she figures out. Currently, I believe she doesn't know Thresh's past life. Though I don't know if she has an ability to do detect betrayers. Probably not.

But It doesn't mean she would be glad to work with a servant of the Shadow Isles. It only means she doesn't know and she wouldn't hunt him for betraying. Not negative against him but not positive either.

Kalista may well decide that Thresh had betrayed people in the past, but she doesn't kill discriminately. Vengeance requires a personal touch, so if Thresh's hypothetical past victims did not join the soul-cloud that is Kalista, then she would have no motive to punish him.

In any case, her cognitive function is a bit limited. She can hardly remember her own life, so I'm not sure if she's really up to deducing what Thresh was like during his human life.

I agree with you here. Kalsita doesn't need friends or allies, so she'd only fight alongside Thresh in the most dire of circumstances. But she would never side with Hecarim.

Actually Thresh is very responsible for the Ruination and did pretty much betray Kalista's uncle (the Ruined King). Thresh brought the Ruined King to his vault to bring back his wife knowing that he wouldn't be satisfied with the horrific outcome of the resurrection. This ended with the king getting pissed and causing the Ruination... so Thresh is at least partially responsible for it. So I don't think she would work with Thresh in any circumstance. Plus the Shadow Isles champs aren't exactly united. They just kinda do their own thing.

This is all in Hecarim's bio. Though it doesn't say Thresh directly, I think we can assume a lantern bearing wretch that lead the king to a vault of magical artifacts is Thresh.

Well, Thresh kinda betrayed his whole brotherhood of monks when he led them to the sacred Waters of mysterial healing power so he is in a way one of many reasons of the Ruination.

So Kali wouldn't care at all about Thresh's evil nature etc? They would just forget about their differences and team up for same cause? Kali herself is neutral alignment right? Or evil?

This is a great question and it's hard to answer. Thresh is really smart and he doesn't necessarily betray people. He might use people for his own gain but if you trust some spooky guy like him who has a lantern full of crying souls it's like ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Now if Thresh was being legit I can see him working together with a lot of people because he isn't a completely unsociable person. Not sure how impulsive Thresh is when it comes to torture but if he isn't, sure he would work with Kalista if he found any kind of enjoyment in it. For example maybe Kalista would give the souls of her victims to Thresh.

Now on Kalista's side, she has a bit less self-control I think and has had the black mist and vengeance eat her up more. I think she only hears the voices of victims of betrayal for the most part and would not ask Thresh for help. If Kalista ever found herself fully maybe she would form a partnership with Thresh. Maybe to fight Hecarim or something, Thresh would only accept if there was anything interesting to get out of it.

Also a major question. Do these shadow isles champions have each other on cell or something? How will they know where each other is at?
