BT stacking

item 3072

Just a question, but... sometimes I see people suggesting to build more than one Bloodthirster, or actually seeing it done in some past matches, etc., and I was wondering... is there any logic behind this? Both the Lifesteal passive (which is funny because that means you'd have more lifesteal with just the vamp scepter instead of upgrading a second BT) and the shield passive are Unique. All it gives you is the 80 AD... which kind of reminds me of the whole "stacking deathcaps" dilemma, where'd you just get more use out of buying a different needlessly rod (or in this case, BF Sword) item because the passive is unique and the raw stats are the same.

Why would you get more than one Bloodthirster? Or should I just ignore these suggestions?

Some people are not very good at the theory behind items.

BTs used to stack together for maximum AD and lifesteal. Riot fixed and changed BT a lot since then, so it's no longer viable.

I think it depends on the champion. In my experience, if youre going full cheese, IE stacking (2~3IEs) Is a better thing to stack.

I assume that would be a hold over from when BT had stacking AD and lifesteal and building multiple was good (as they gave up to 100 AD each and great lifesteal). As you pointed out, any other 80 AD item does the exact function of a 2nd BT only better, so there is no point to stacking them.

Some people didn't get the memo. And nobody was surprised.
