What's the point of PBE?

You never take feedback from people who play it anyways.

People told you devourer was going to be fucking retarded. People told you the HUD was going to suck.

Actually Ive read somewhere that PBE was less for balance than for bug fixes. Riot said they need to have a larger playerbase test it so that the feedback is meaningful. A bit silly IMO, but thats not Riots only habit I dont understand.

They did make meaningful changes to the HUD. You don't want to know what it first looked like. Spells on CD were really hard to notice, and if you dislike the current minimalism, well, you wouldn't believe your eyes. Also, ult timers and summoner spell timers weren't initially added either, those are the biggest additions with the new HUD imo.
