Champion Mastery in Repective Roles

As you know Champion Mastery at the moment just displays the amount of Champion Mastery points by just playing the champion. The problem I have with it is that it just shows that you just played this champion that much.

What I would like to see in the future is Champion Mastery in respective roles. Top, Mid, Bot, Support, and Jungle.

One way to do this is to show the total of Champion Mastery points as it is now and when you click on the Champion Mastery of the champion, it will show your points gained from each role. The issue with this, however, is this seems only applicable in Draft Pick or Ranked as in Blind Pick you really can't preemptively pick a role beforehand.

Another way would be to just display the highest total of Champion Mastery points in a role of a champion and showing the Role Symbol above or under the Champion Mastery. Example: If you played Top Lane [insert champion] with about 100K points and played Mid lane with same champion with only about 75K points, the Champion Mastery will display the role and Role Symbol with the highest amount of points. The latter is probably better since this only displays your highest amount of points gained from a role. As well as having the same issue as the latter. (possibly be a setting on how you show your Champion Mastery)

Thank you for reading this little suggestion of mine. If you have any other suggestion for how Champion Mastery should display respective roles, leave a comment on how it can be done.

I'm sure it would be really annoying to the programmers to make a computer application that would sort all those out.

It would if it didn't already exists, because its part of how you get your Mastery Grade.

But I'm against splitting total Mastery Points of champions into separate roles, just seems like too much clutter to me. I don't see how this would be useful.

Might work as a tool tip on your champion tab in the client, but meh.

I do agree that this is probably something that 90% of players would not find any usefulness from. In all honesty, this is mainly for vanity.

However, one of my reasons for this is just a way to insult the "current meta".

A fair amount of people encounters those who are like "Oh god no, not that champion" or "ffs why that champion?" because it's not "meta" which aggravates me that sometimes when they see [non-meta champion] in [role] in the "current meta" they automatically think "GG ff@20" and proceeds to spam with that sort of behavior during the game.

The other reason is to show that you are experienced enough to play this champion in this role. Like Nautilus Support, Brand Support, Kennen Top, etc. Again, because people seems to doubt that champion would work in said role and proceed to look up your stats then later bombard you on your win-rates and such.

But how will a mastery score enable you do prove any of that?

All it is is a number that somewhat represents how much experience you have with that champion, or in your idea's case that champion in that role. It says absolutely nothing about how viable the combination of the two is.

I'd love for everyone to see my mastery progression of AP mid/jungle/top Sejuani and Alistar picks, toplane Taric, jungle or toplane on hit Braum, or midlane Hecarim. Pretty much the only way I play those champions. I'm all about the cheese. :)
