Galio passive

its good it gives him a unique type of champion

its as OP as ever and gives him a starting 37 AP with a dorans... without ap runes... /logic

throw in ap runes for upwards of 50 starting ap (ending up with 115~120 damage Q's at level 1)

the scaling is very lacking as it only gives him an extra ~70 into the late game even with 3 MR items. most of the bonus AP coming from his base MR.

lets say you build (+30) (+27) and (+12) its hardly anything. you're better off going for a full pen build to abuse his base damage. the grail change hurt his MR builds.

just exchange merc treds for sorc boots, and spirit visage for RoA and you'll notice a huge spike in your damage output. you dont need the MR from "his core build merc treds and visage" his W gives him more than enough sustain.

as a first item, its amazing. consider roa if you aren't planning on killing your laner or you need to survive. > > new AP galio is better than "ap counterbuild" galio.

imo it should exist as simple scaling on his abilities and he should gain new funny passive :D

's W and E scales with armor but it's not his passive. btw still better than 's passive - "he have rage".

I don't really like his passive, it's pretty cool at the beginning cuz it give like 16 to 25 AP, but just for an example, Veigar's passive has pretty much the same effect and exceeds really quickly Runic Skin so it really needs changes

his passive isnt as good as it seems past his level 1 AP and his W bonus. example if you get a banshees which is the most mr at 75 (which is much higher than any mr ever was) thats only 36 ap. sans ult his ratios are .6 or worse meaning he only deals 27 magic damage after spending 3K on banshees. sure he will be tanky but his dmg wont be muhc better than anyone else who built banshees cause their ratios/cd are much better. you could have jsut spent 3.4K on a rabadons and got 145 AP instead of 36.

Adding to the aforementioned "great for early trading with AP match-ups" argument which is absolutely correct, it also sets the pace for Galio to build toward the mage guardian fantasy. Too tanky to fight, does not let you approach the one he protects, will ward you off with dangerous magic from afar. I just kinda wish he could heal whomever he placed his W upon. Then the grail changes wouldn't have hurt so bad. Galio is truly Riot's red-headed stepchild. T_T
